China virus ability to spread getting stronger

SHANGHAI - The ability of the coronavirus to spread is getting stronger and infections could continue to rise, China’s National Health Commission said on Sunday, with more than 2,000 people globally infected and 56 in China killed by the disease.

National Health Commission Minister Ma Xiaowei, speaking at a press briefing, said knowledge of the virus was limited.

Ma said the incubation period for the coronavirus can range from one to 14 days, and that the virus is infectious during incubation, which was not the case with Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS), a coronavirus that originated in China and killed nearly 800 people globally in 2002 and 2003.

Containment efforts, which have thus far included transportation and travel curbs and the cancellation of big events, will be intensified, Ma told a crowded news briefing on the second day of the Lunar New Year holiday.

The virus, believed to have originated late last year in a seafood market in the central Chinese city of Wuhan that was illegally selling wildlife, has spread to Chinese cities including Beijing and Shanghai, as well as the United States, Thailand, South Korea, Japan, Australia, France and Canada.

Health authorities in Beijing urged people not to shake hands but instead salute using a traditional cupped-hand gesture. The advice was sent in a text message that went out to mobile phone users in the city on Sunday morning.

"人次" not "人死", plus it's entire probably she said "几万” and not "九万". In which case what she said was "cases in the tens of thousands", and not "ninety thousand deaths". I think the former is much more in line with the tone of her entire statement.

I confirmed my first pass with a native speaker, but you're right in the sense that is room for doubt re the translation.

China confirmed 2065 cases of suspected 2692 died 56 patients were cured 49

I think that statement, translated to English, might be:

In China, 2065 cases were confirmed and 2692 were suspected. 56 died and 49 were cured.

Has an honest mortality rate been established?

No, it is currently believed that authorities in Wuhan (Hubei Province) under reported initial cases due to a provincial committee meeting that occurred at the start of the outbreak. Initial cases (and there is indication currently) were mis-categorized as pneumonia deaths. There are current concerns or indications that local authorities in that region are still doing so, and possibly turning away patients with pneumonia if they do not exhibit a fever. Also, a documented case of a 10 year old with ‘walking pneumonia’ but otherwise asymptomatic.

The scope of the outbreak did not come to light until around the 20th, with testing from a lab in Shanghai. As Wuhan has two level 4 labs built to test for this stuff, it is believed that local authorities were attempting to hide it from the Central Committee in Beijing.

On a side note, Friday night I went to bed feeling pretty decent as there had been no documented cases (that I was aware of) where transmission occurred outside of Hubei. I woke up Saturday with notification of two separate incidents consisting of three persons in total, where the transmission occurred outside of Hubei.

That’s one common hypothesis put forward, along with European, African and as I said Chinese origin. However, there have been recent developments since the publishing of “The Great Influenza” that have IMO lent a little more credence to it being from China, such as DNA analysis showing similarities to viruses still wandering around mostly in that part of the world.

The final truth of the matter is that nobody knows for certain where the bloody thing came from for certain and we will probably never know. There is, however, new evidence coming to light all the time - for example, research has uncovered that there *may* have been an earlier form of the virus afflicting British soldiers in England at least as early as 1917. https://www.statnews.com/2018/12/05/1918-spanish-flu-unraveling-mystery/

Here is research regarding the Chinese theory: https://www.nationalgeographic.com/news/2014/1/140123-spanish-flu-1918-china-origins-pandemic-science-health/

A decade after the war, Kansas was identified as another possible breeding ground, due to reports of an influenza outbreak there that spread to a nearby Army camp in March 1918, killing 48 doughboys.

But in his study, Humphries reports that an outbreak of respiratory infections, which at the time were dubbed an endemic “winter sickness” by local health officials, were causing dozens of deaths a day in villages along China’s Great Wall. The illness spread 300 miles (500 kilometers) in six weeks’ time in late 1917.

At first thought to be pneumonic plague, the disease killed at a far lower rate than is typical for that disease.

Humphries discovered that a British legation official in China wrote that the disease was actually influenza, in a 1918 report. Humphries made the findings in searches of Canadian and British historical archives that contain the wartime records of the Chinese Labor Corps and the British legation in Beijing.

Sealed Railcars

At the time of the outbreak, British and French officials were forming the Chinese Labor Corps, which eventually shipped some 94,000 laborers from northern China to southern England and France during the war.

“The idea was to free up soldiers to head to the front at a time when they were desperate for manpower,” Humphries says.

Shipping the laborers around Africa was too time-consuming and tied up too much shipping, so British officials turned to shipping the laborers to Vancouver on the Canadian West Coast and sending them by train to Halifax on the East Coast, from which they could be sent to Europe.

This predates the Kansas incident.

A Chinese scientist working in a biolab in Canada repotedly illegally sent samples of a virus to China. So these viruses are being shared purportedly for “research” purposes to work on vaccines or just gain more knowledge, but who knows what the Chicomms are actually doing with them once they recieve them.
————————

Last month, an acclaimed NML scientist — Xiangguo Qiu — was reportedly escorted out of the lab along with her husband, another biologist, and members of her research team. The agency said it was investigating an “administrative issue,” and had referred a possible policy breach to the RCMP. Little more has been said about the affair. https://beta.canada.com/health/bio-warfare-experts-question-why-canada-was-sending-lethal-viruses-to-china/wcm/fce2a521-4ce1-4eb0-8ccf-43f165713c0b/amp/

Another article:
————————-
The NML scientist who was escorted out of the Canadian lab along with her husband, another biologist, and members of her research team is believed to be a Chinese Bio-Warfare agent Xiangguo Qiu. Qiu was the head of the Vaccine Development and Antiviral Therapies Section in the Special Pathogens Program at Canada’s NML.

Xiangguo Qiu is an outstanding Chinese scientist born in Tianjin. She primarily received her medical doctor degree from Hebei Medical University in China in 1985 and came to Canada for graduate studies in 1996. Later on, she was affiliated with the Institute of Cell Biology and the Department of Pediatrics and Child Health of the University of Manitoba, Winnipeg, not engaged with studying pathogens.

Dr. Xiangguo Qiu, the Chinese Biological Warfare Agent working at the National Microbiology Laboratory, Canada
But a shift took place, somehow. Since 2006, she has been studying powerful viruses in Canada’s NML. The viruses shipped from the NML to China were studied by her in 2014, for instance (together with the viruses Machupo, Junin, Rift Valley Fever, Crimean-Congo Hemorrhagic Fever and Hendra).

Infiltrating the Canadian Lab

Dr. Xiangguo Qiu is married to another Chinese scientist – Dr. Keding Cheng, also affiliated with the NML, specifically the “Science and Technology Core”. Dr. Cheng is primarily a bacteriologist who shifted to virology. The couple is responsible for infiltrating Canada’s NML with many Chinese agents as students from a range of Chinese scientific facilities directly tied to China’s Biological Warfare Program, namely:

Institute of Military Veterinary, Academy of Military Medical Sciences, Changchun
Center for Disease Control and Prevention, Chengdu Military Region
Wuhan Institute of Virology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Hubei
Institute of Microbiology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Beijing

Sources say Xiangguo Qiu and her husband Keding Cheng were escorted from the National Microbiology Lab in Winnipeg on July 5, 2019. Since then, the University of Manitoba has ended their appointments, reassigned her graduate students, and cautioned staff, students and faculty about traveling to China. (Governor General’s Innovation Awards)
All of the above four mentioned Chinese Biological Warfare facilities collaborated with Dr. Xiangguo Qiu within the context of Ebola virus, the Institute of Military Veterinary joined a study on the Rift Valley fever virus too, while the Institute of Microbiology joined a study on Marburg virus. Noticeably, the drug used in the latter study – Favipiravir – has been earlier tested successfully by the Chinese Academy of Military Medical Sciences, with the designation JK-05 (originally a Japanese patent registered in China already in 2006), against Ebola and additional viruses.

However, the studies by Dr. Qiu are considerably more advanced and apparently vital for the Chinese biological weapons development in case Coronavirus, Ebola, Nipah, Marburg or Rift Valley fever viruses are included therein.

The Canadian investigation is ongoing and questions remain whether previous shipments to China of other viruses or other essential preparations, took place from 2006 to 2018, one way or another.

“Maybe she misspoke. Maybe she thought that’s what the numbers were, but she was wrong. But 90,000 dead was what she said in the video.”

Thank you!

Sadly, the actual really-really true number will be determined by the communist party and the current needs of the “Chinese State”.

Wow,

I forgot that site even existed as the articles posted to this site appear to get deleted regularly as clickbait conspiracy.

That response about it being true due to ZH reporting it, brought back memories of WND.

It’s true! WorldNUTDAILY reported it!

Please consider a more pragmatic reason for patenting a virus. This does not mean it was created, just patented. US policy is to patent viruses to prevent a single corporation from controlling vaccine development.

Spkytyr

Thank you!

Chinese source makes more sense, especially in view of the earlier outbreak. Fort Riley is in the geographical middle of the U.S.A., cattle and wheat, and a few pigs. Not the typical Bird to Swine to human transmission path. I passed your information on to the Webmaster of the site containing the article I cited.

Since it’s a Soros owned bio lab how do we know he doesn’t have an anti-virus?

Soros himself has admitted he makes money from chaos.

the Virus has an R-0 of 2.5 with a 95% confidence (1.4-3.8)...

*******

How do they competently figure an R-0 when all, and I mean *all* the data coming out of China is bogus?

Even back channel stuff directly to the disease control peeps sent by China will be bogus.

This crap started a good while before it even got pegged as “coronavirus”. Before that, it was just “viral pneumonia”. And the hospitals was slammed then with people needing help. And the hospitals then had people just go home and rest.

and this is *before* it went official corona. And they’ve already admitted that numbers weren’t being kept then. There’s no way accurate data on transmission rates are tracked now. The system is collapsing in Wuhan.

So, again, how do all these “experts” with all these super duper wall hanger certs and diplomas behind them, have a frackin clue as to the real numbers?

People on this thread are embarrassing to FR.
Beijing brought this to the worlds attention and did the genome.
There are scientific communities in Beijing that are working with scientists around the world.

People posting here need to get out more. The original discovery has been published in Lancet.
