Hundreds of patients in Wuhan who have yet to be confirmed as carrying the new strain of coronavirus are becoming increasingly desperate as the city struggles to cope with the numbers reporting pneumonia symptoms.
One 36-year-old, speaking by phone outside a major hospital in the city, said she had spent the past week taking her sick husband from hospital to hospital in a vain attempt to get him tested for the virus, which has already killed 41 people and infected hundreds more.
I have nothing. No protective clothing, only a raincoat, and I am standing outside the hospital in the rain, said the woman, who gave her name as Xiaoxi.
I am desperate, I have lost count of time and days. I dont know if we will both live to see the new year.
She said that Lunar New Years eve felt like doomsday as there was nowhere for her and her sick husband to go in the locked-down city.
A video shared by Xiaoxi appeared to show the hallway to the fever ward of the hospital packed with anxious patients seeking attention from medical staff.
The footage also showed medical staff in protective clothing and what Xiaoxi said were the bodies of patients who had died in the hospital and been left in the corridor wrapped in linen.
While the government has offered to pay for all expenses of patients confirmed to have the virus, those who have not yet received a positive test have been left to pay their own medical bills.
I pay anything from hundreds to about 1,000 yuan [US$144] a day for medicines. There are many people like us. I saw many people who couldnt afford the bill and just gave up coming and went home, Xiaoxi said.

That is already understood - an observation !
There are many who do not identify as looking for prepper information,
but practice many of it's basic principles as a logical life-style.
Your post pointed out the chaos that happens when medical facilities get overwhelmed
I appreciate your posting because it demonstrates the response to immediate medical necessity.
Read up on it Einstein.
The Chinese President called it a grave situation and said the spread was accelerating.
Yesterday.
And over 50 million have been quarantined.
Enforced by regular army troops.
And as of yesterday, the US,France, and Russia are flying their citizens out of Wuhan.
East Africa, yes.
Bump. And buy more ammo.
True....but if they keep flying and spreading....who’ll be buying tickets when they’re dead?
Isn't that true of most any similar disease?

“On second thoughts, I guess what youre saying is that the Chinese government is lying its butt off.”
That is what I was trying to say, but I guess that I must have written poorly.
Yes
When Chernobyl occurred, Gorbachov and the evil Soviet government initially tried to cover the whole thing up. Unfortunately for them, The Americans could see everything from our satellites, BUSTED!
To this day the Russians claim only 30 or so people were killed by Chernobyl.
Brutal totalitarian governments lie and cover up all the time because they can.
And when it happens (the peace treaty) people will still think it’s a good thing. Those things are Great Tribulation, of course, but they’ll happen in those 3 - 1/2 years. /as you already know
Somethings not on my menu bucket list:
cats, rats, gnats, any scat and bats.
I read apost about this video here on FR in which the poster said that they understood some Chinese and the word wasnt infected, it was dead. Either way, it is understandable why they are dealing of a major metropolitan area.
The person in post 30 is the one I am speaking of.
I think that aspect is very telling. Thats why I think this might be very big.
But a lot of this is simply rainfall change****
Oh oh...
Look for Greta and Gore to jump on the globull warming farce.
I’m thinking it is something that escaped from a military operation working on bio warfare.
I ran the numbers using beginning with 41 infected people, and each one of them able to infect 3 other people. At day 12 it came to 44 million people infected. That seems really high, so I either did the math wrong or made some wrong assumptions. For example, not everyone comes in contact with a bunch of different people every day.
But - 90,000 dead out of 44 million is a mortality rate of 0.2%. Last years mortality rate of flu in the USA was estimated at 0.3% - with 90,000 dead from the flu. Although the first thing I thought when I heard the Asian gal talking about 90,000 - “Hmm - I wonder if they just pulled that number out of wikipedia?”
I was reading where the 1918 flu hit places in waves, with each wave lasting a month or so. So being able to hunker down for a month (doable for many) is helpful. Being able to hunker down for a year or two - not as doable for most.
