Disturbing images of Wuhan residents dropping unresponsive to the floor have emerged on Instagram following the diseased Chinese city's coronavirus lockdown.

Wuhan has been branded a “zombieland” by frantic locals after Chinese authorities told residents they are not allowed to leave yesterday morning.

Pictures from inside the city paint an apocalyptic picture as medics patrol in hazmat suits and gas masks.

In an upload direct from Wuhan, a man can be seen lying unresponsive on the floor as concerned individuals look on

It’s China. There’s the Great Firewall filtering out things and there’s also the fact that taking pictures that contradict the official story is a good way to end up internally exiled, in prison or the recipient of a quick bullet behind the ear.

Those aren’t third line, part-timer reserve troops. They’re equipped with at least the QBZ-95 bullpup rifle China was issuing only to front line troops until the QBZ-95-1 revised variant began to be issued a few years ago. QBZ-95s are now being passed down to second-line troops, but the ‘reservist’ equivalents are still using AK pattern rifles...

Someone in China is concerned enough to roll out the regular troops for this.

The governments response is belying their downplaying. They have shuddered 70 thousand movie theaters, Disneyland, shutdown Lunar New Years (which in China is like the 4th of July, New Years, and Halloween rolled up), and have undertaken the largest quarantine in history. They just added another city, bringing the total to 40 million people. Larger then the entire population of California.

In a population of over 10 million, about 500 deaths would be expected every day — without a pandemic being involved. Of those, perhaps 200 would have died of heart attack or stroke — which often result in a sudden, unexpected death. My guess is that it’s a lot more “normal” than we’d like to think.
