...this is true but I’ve never really been able to understand why. Human life means nothing to them? Their constituents will only vote for a “pro abortion” candidate? Money to be made in selling body parts?

If you get familiar with the Bible, you can see how Satan hates humans, especially baby humans.
It is spiritual warfare - that's why it doesn't make any rational sense, one must view it on another level altogether.

This has something to do with it:

Romans 1:28 Furthermore, just as they did not think it worthwhile to retain the knowledge of God, so God gave them over to a depraved mind, so that they do what ought not to be done.

These people may have crossed the rubicon where God has given them over to their base impulses. I think they are as close to “without hope” as you can get and repentance becomes almost impossible.

Humans are divine made in the image of God , the other sentient beings God made, angels seemed to have gotten jealous. Killing that spark and destroying our souls seem to be the goal. End human life kill the word made flesh. That’s what I’ve observed
