He’s not a Senator, he doesn’t get a say.
Nancy Pelosi also gets no say in the rules the Senate adopts.
PDJT must be “acquitted by the Senate forever” in the history books, since Pelosi has already pointed out the truth that, also in the history books, PDJT has already been “impeached forever”.
As usual, you have a well thought out angle on what is about to play out.
What’s to negotiate? The prosecutors don’t get to prohibit the defense from calling witnesses.
That is not what they are going to do though. They will disprove their case and show it. There is nothing there.
But they on the other hand are going to be in trouble because their corruption is being uncovered more and more. They are fighting in an arena where the venue is going to change where the evidence is against them. My best thought is stop thinking from a political mindset we are in a non-kinetic civil war which could turn hot.
The House has ZERO say.
The dems think they are dictators.
Since when does the House run the Senate?
If you look at history of politics in the USA for, oh, the last 100 years or so, the Donks do run things. This is where the attitude comes from. There are three truths in the world. The sun comes up, the sun goes down and Republicans ALWAYS cave to Donks. Always. I can cite literally hundreds of examples.
Hunter Biden has no relevant evidence to produce regarding the impeachment.
The proper place to hear evidence about Hunter Biden is the larger trial concerning the Burisima corruption. The convicting evidence exists in Ukraine, not America.
The Dems are playing a VERY weak hand and they know it. This is all bluster to avoid what they fear the most: exposure of corruption throughout the Obama administration, up to VP Biden, and even Obama himself. They know they have the press on their side, and are hoping beyond hope that Bolton will be called to the witness stand exposing Trump as corrupt, and that Biden will not be called to the witness stand, exposing the Obama administration as corrupt. Their only hope to achieve this is that the corrupt media will somehow be able to force it to happen.
That is very thin gruel to bet on, but it is their only hope. Nadler is just whistling past the graveyard, and Pelosi and the clown circus for their presidential candidates already have more than one foot in the very large grave.

That's irrelevant. What is relevant is whether there is legitimate reason for suspicion that there was corruption in the Ukraine, and that Hunter seems like one obvious place to look.
Sounds like a cover up to me.
Fine. Just postpone the impeachment trial and subpoena Hunter Biden to appear before the Senate Judiciary Committee.
And since the Democrats are dead set on forcing the Senate to assume that Joe Biden is as pure as the wind-driven snow, anyone is at liberty to assume that the contrary is the case.
In any event, one would be hard-pressed, I think, to find in history any Democrat president about whom worse could not be said than the House has said about Mr. Trump. It is a mountain constructed with the material of a single molehill.
Why even make the effort? It's a waste of time.
Nadler, you are not in a position to negotiate. Someone should have told you.
Give the Rats the same number of “Witnesses” in the Senate as they gave to Republicans in the House.
The answer of course is ZERO.
As I explained to my former Leftist B-I-L when discussing the Three Mile Island Nuclear “disaster”, the number of people who People who died at Three Mile Island was EXACTLY ONE LESS than the number of People who died in Ted Kennedy’s Oldsmobile.
They already blew their wads in the House. And came up short on the sheets.
Without Hunter Biden’s testimony there is no trial period. The so called Quid Pro Quo is centered on Hunter Biden and his father’s admitting that he alone withheld the payment due to Ukraine. They demand answers the democrats are desperate to cover up! Why?
