WASHINGTONWhen revelations about President Trumps efforts to pressure Ukraine first started dribbling into the public in late September and early October, Republicans were caught off guard.
Some members of the GOP criticized Mr. Trumps request for Ukraine to open investigations that benefited him politically, while others sought to avoid the topic altogether. Parnas is playing the same role on impeachment that Balsey Ford played in Kavanaugh hearings - story full of holes & all was known/planned by dems months ago / held to last minute for media exploitation! Pitiful! WE THE PEOPLE & TRUMP deserve better than this! The Senate needs to fix this and fast on their side!
Dont go all technical on them Uncle Miltie. LOL

I know who "us" is when most FReepers use that description, who is "us" when you use it?

The Us in this context is Trump supporters, the 90+ support our President has among GOP voters.
Correct. The GOP doesn't want Trump in office disrupting the gravy train. They don't have the balls to remove him by conviction, but they will do all they can to stop his reelection. 5 or 6 rinos will side with the dems to allow Schumer to run the trial the way he wants. Look for any witnesses the dems want to be allowed, but few if any that Trump wants. I think that the vote to convict will even be a "bipartisan" majority of around 52, led by Romney. Mitt wants to set himself up for the 2024 race.
