The story of that week, and the secret planning in the months preceding it, ranks as the most perilous chapter so far in President Trumps three years in office.

The article is everything you would expect it to be, a well sourced and well written account of the remarkable events of the recent incidents in Iran and Iraq. All colored, of course, in a manner intended to make Trump out to be a pretty, war-mongering fool. Except it doesn't.
If you can read past the usual garbage a picture emerges of the real leader we all know the President to be. Contrasted with the weakness of our "allies" in Europe. And Mike Lee.
A good read.

Does Iran think they can challenge us? We have a fleet of boomers swimming the oceans. F**k with us and we will F**k with you. Actually our B-52s could wipe you out, Iran. I mean no harm to the Iranian people. They are prisoners. I hope that some day we can liberate them.

Last week they said it was a random assassination ordered by a madman without any forethought or time for preparation.

One might think the NYT’s would know that Iran has been at war with America since the 1980’s. Guess all that Trump hate they carry gets in the way of intelligent thought!

And wasn’t impeachment supposed to be ‘perilous?’
Is this a tacit admission that even the left knows it’s a damp squib?

Every Trump story by this media is exaggerated to the worst-case scenario.
If someone handed Trump a baby, and he held it for 10 seconds, someone would say that at one point his hand was so close to the neck,
it looked like he would strangle the baby.
Headline: Trump Strangles Baby.

My initial reaction on reading the article was exactly as yours:
Except it doesn't
Which clearly applies to the headline:
How Trump Pushed U.S. and Iran to the Brink of War

People have already forgotten that the Embassy was attacked by Iranians FIRST.

The incidences (attacks on the US) leading up to Trumps “leading us into war” were not even entertained by the media. No American knew what they did because the media held it from us. They are truly the ENEMY of America!

Most people won’t read past the headline. I know I didn’t. I have absolutely no interest in wasting my time dissecting the latest propaganda piece by the shameful NYT.

Excellent article and good, interesting read.
That said, and given that it was written by the New York Times, there is no way of knowing what parts of the article are true and what parts are an attempt to shape public opinion.
Long story, short, though, the article presents the President in a very positive light for his supporters and those who aren't blinded by their hatred of him.
Those who hate the President might still find a few nuggets that support their views.

People have already forgotten that the Embassy was attacked by Iranians FIRST. The end game must be played: Iran can never be trusted with nukes.
