I’m still glad I voted republican cause the option was putting a dem in power and we all know where that would lead.

This is why the congress now refuses to pass a budget, choosing to wait until the eve of a government shutdown to introduce a massive spending resolution. The executive has no choice but to pass it or be accused of shutting down the government and cutting off social security, etc. Hopefully, after Trump gets reelected he will have more flexibility and can put a stop to it.

I know spending bills originate in the House but I also know too well McConnell’s track record.
