Former Veep Joe Biden made another campaign stop in Iowa and took questions from the audience. A young flannel-dressed man stood up and asked Biden about Obamacare, his administrations signature health care law.
The young presumably Iowan, possibly an operative for another campaign, read from a card to tell the former veep what happened to his father.
During the run-up to the passage of Obamacare, President Obama promised my father that if he liked his plan he could keep his plan, and that his insurance would be cheaper. After passage, his plan was no longer allowed and his insurance cost double. Since you supported the plan, were you lying to my dad? Or did you not understand the bill you supported?
That's quite a slider to throw at slow Joe. Is the former veep ready for it?
Lets find out.
Biden replies: Theres two ways people know when something is important. One, when its so clear when its passed, that everybody understands it.
Obamacare was 2300 pages of legalese when it passed. It has since swelled to more than 20,000 regulations.
Biden continues: No one did understand Obamacare. Including the way it was rolled out, and the gentlemans right, it said you could keep your doctor if you wanted to, but you couldnt keep your doctor if you wanted to necessarily. Hes dead right about that.
According to Biden, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi was more right than she let on all those years ago when she said the Democrats would have to pass Obamacare before the nation could find out whats in it.
Thats called a pig in a poke, a deal you should never take because you dont know the whole picture. Its also not how legislation is supposed to work in a representative republic.

Obamacare = 3 Card Monte
Why 3000 pages?
It takes a lot to control people.
I understand that it cost my Wife and I about $60,000.
Perhaps that's why it sucked and no one wanted it.
Repeal it.
Every word of it.
Nancy Pelosi said that they had to pass it so they could find out what was in it.
Obamacare was 2300 pages of legalese when it passed. It has since swelled to more than 20,000 regulations.
Lawyers Wonderland Playground. Like most federal laws and regs.
Sheeeyit. The only important part of Soetorocare that mattered to Nanzi and Gropin’ Joe was that they didn’t have to be part of it.
“Perhaps that’s why it sucked and no one wanted it.”
That’s not true. I heard a millenial say it was free
Is that the one that Gropin’ Joe said was a big effin’ deal? Or was that some other Libturd boondoggle?
I’d say the dad was lucky if his insurance only doubled. Mine’s quadrupled and it’s really no better and in some ways worse than an old catastrophic care plan.
Obama care was a lie, period end of story, just ask Jonathan Gruber who was paid by Obama to go around the country to sell it,look up the video where he states out of his own mouth,we had to lie in order for it to get passed,we had to depend on the stupidity of the American voter
That is exactly what I thought of when I read that. Rats are typically horrible liars and they only get away with it some of the time because the media covers for them. Uncle Joe has lied so much he has lost touch with the truth. What was Gomer Pyle's saying? "Oh what a tangled web we weave, when we practice to deceive." It really is true, even though it came from Gomer.
In other words...they passed, read it...and still didn’t know what was in it.
Paging Nancy Pelosi...
There is still no one who understands it all. No person on earth could understand 3000 pages of legalese gobbledegook.
Why look at that! Biden told the truth .... in a roundabout way .... by accident.
Yes. I would love to see laws limited to some (very small) number of pages.
Anything really big is just complex social engineering designed to control people.
Joe’s answer should have been what he said to Obama on signing it...”this is a big effing deal”.
Obamacare was written probably so that activist judges could interpret it way that they want to.
