Perhaps the Iranians shot it down with their antiaircraft defenses because the assumed that the Americans would attack Iran and they could blame the downing of an airliner on Trump? What would the press have said in that event?
But GW and Cheney had a hurricane machine that they used to target minority populations. Just ask the LSM.
Two points:
1. Just because the Iranians failed to kill Americans doesn’t mean they weren’t trying. Saying that they intentionally missed says their missiles are far more accurate than they really are.
2. Who were those Iranians on that plane that thought leaving Iran at this time was the best option? Any higher-ups that the bloody Iranian regime didn’t want defecting? And how many of those Canadians were actually Iranian immigrants?
The plane was only 3 and a half years old, a 737-800 series. The deries previous to the “max”.

With all the stealth fighters the U.S. has in the Middle East, I bet the anti-aircraft gunners are jittery as hell. How are they supposed to shoot down something they can’t see and can kill them at a far greater range than they can kill it? Although it has to be hard to mistake a passenger airliner for a stealth fighter.
