Iran fired as many as 15 ballistic missiles into Iraq, targeting U.S. military and coalition forces early Wednesday,...Initial assessments showed "no U.S. casualties," a U.S. military official in Baghdad told Fox News. President Trump tweeted a response late Tuesday evening: All is well! Missiles launched from Iran at two military bases located in Iraq. Assessment of casualties & damages taking place now. So far, so good! We have the most powerful and well equipped military anywhere in the world, by far! I will be making a statement tomorrow morning.

A number here are already saying our troops were warned ahead of time and we got many out so iran could save face.
And it’s very believable.
But to what end?
Are they going to stop the half dozen proxy wars they have going on?
Do we have to hope that they might kill one of our men accidentally somewhere? (and let’s cut the sh.t that there shouldn’t be One American GI in ALL of the middle east cause it’s not realistic and it’s not gonna happen)
#### em.
End it now instead of later when the nukes they have can fly.

yup
I want to see the heads of Iran’s mullahs delivered on silver plates.
Agreed..but still..
I want us to get these ####s where they breathe! I want us to find these nancy-boy mullahs and I want them dead! I want their families dead! I want their houses burned to the ground! I want to go there in the middle of the night and pi$$ on their ashes!
But that’s just me.
:)
Thanks lol
40 percent of 20 million NYers is a lot.
8 million of us might be useful in a civil war :)
Well said. I share your irreverence. ;)
Looks like the possible outcome of another Iranian goof here.

They’re “about as sharp as a sack of wet mice” (Foghorn Leghorn). Our forces should fight them American style, and take out all of their equipment and personnel on their major positions. As for their neighborhoods, a full blockade should take care of those within a few years. Watch ‘em get skinny.
Katyusha rockets are not ballistic missiles!
Wonder if his statement this morning will be a statement or a statement of a “statement” he made overnight or is on-going at the time of the statement.
I speculate that this was done (1) to save face, and (2) deliberately to avoid casualties.
Firing unguided missiles at at Al Assad Air Base is not likely to hit much. An futile gesture.
Even if you managed to drop all 15 missiles within the perimeter, you are probably blowing up nothing but dirt.
It makes no sense for Iran to demonstrate their impotence and lack of sophisticated guidance systems in this way. Too high a price to pay for dirt.
This missile attack allows them to save face in Iran so maybe we just send a few F-22s into Tehran airspace, do a flyby on the mullahs, drop a few Christmas cards from Trump and go back home. They'll get the message -
” there shouldnt be One American GI in ALL of the middle east”
In missile development, Iran has focused much on range. I doubt that there was much focus on accuracy. After Soleimani, the Iranian government might have credit for 138 civilian casualties (more or less) from a commercial jet shot down and a tactical funeral stampede.
Before Soleimani, yes, Iran caused many U.S. soldier casualties with Iranian-made IEDs in Afghanistan and Iraq.
Reminds me of an old Glen Ford movie ADVANCE TO THE REAR in which each side Union and Confederate, fires 30 shots at each other each morning, making sure they DON’T hit anything that will provoke a serious response.
Doesn’t speak well for air defense when it’s known the missiles are coming and still reach the target.
It’s not as easy as turning Iran into a parking lot. First, it would make the muslin world eternally angry. Second, there is a difference between the Iranian people and the ruling mullahs. We don’t want to kill tons of people who want the radicals gone.
