I have had to double check the providence of some real news stories, most involving Florida Man, to make sure that they WEREN'T Babylon Bee stories, but not the other way around.
Jeez louise, I learned about satire, the different types and devices in high school English and again in college. Of course that was decades ago. What the heck are they teaching kids these days?!
CNN employees, get yourselves to a remedial English lit course.
There have been numerous occasions when people posted comments they thought were ironic but were in fact factual.
We live in Bizarro World.
Frankly, O'Sullivan has no idea what people know or don't know. They don't gripe about the Onion. The only reason they are griping about the Bee is that its fiction is so dadgum close to the truth. That, and it is making fun of CNN. Our overlords don't like to be laughed at.
Tough.
The Babylon Bee writes excellent satire.
It seems like the original disinformation network lacks any sense of humor.
Which supports my contention that liberals are among the most humor challenged individuals there are.
They have none.
Leftists have no sense of humor.
I remember when John Semmens was getting in trouble here because too many people got angry when they were taken in by his clever rewrites of the news. He then had to make it clear he was writing satire.
Awaiting the Bees report on this story as well. Oughta be a hoot.
Their satire is closer to the truth than the fake news is to reality by accident.
A lot of their stuff is pretty silly, but this one is HYSTERICAL...and so true:
(regarding whether Iran will sign up Conlin Kapernick)
https://babylonbee.com/news/iranian-officials-say-they-have-no-interest-in-signing-colin-kapernick
I wonder just how many leftists saw the piece about half flags and thought to themselves “Idiots! Don’t they know you just can’t say stuff like that in public, at least not yet?”. I’d bet it was more than a few. :-)

I figured out satire at about 10 years old when I saw my first Mad Magazine.
When you are pissing off the enemy, you are winning.
And winning is all we do these days!
I’d love to see the Babylon Bee web site hits statistics from before and after CNN got their skivvies all aslant.
Good thing they never “fact checked” MAD Magazine and The National Lampoon when I was younger.
The infamous Ted Kennedy floating Volkswagen Ad and the cover saying we will shoot this Dog if you don’t buy this Magazine are my all time favorite National Lampoon gags.
