Senate rules can be changed with 51 votes.
**************************************
There’s no sense in quibbling back and forth. Yes, the rules can be changed with a 51 vote majority...BUT ONLY IF THEY EXERCISE A RARE “NUCLEAR OPTION”. And, you’re right, the last time they did the nuclear option was last year to reduce cloture debate time for District Court nominees from 30 hours to 2 hours. And there were two Republican defections (Lee & Collins) in that vote.

I also would like to see this Impeachment Rules change made and if they decide to do it with a simple majority (instead of a two-thirds “supermajority”) you will see them describe that vote as the nuclear option being triggered.

Do you think they are going to give up those seats in CA that they flipped in 18 with vote harvesting fraud? Nope. We aren’t getting those back. Not as it stands now at any rate.

I think our side was caught unaware by the ballot harvesting activity, which had just become legal in CA.

But, we can also play that game. At least some of those seats are coming back when traditionally R districts find us harvesting ballots too.

“Pelosi and others said they will just bring them again.”

How can they do that again when they haven’t brought them the first time.

If they can concoct another bunch of fake charges or blackmail him into resigning, guess who is now the president?! That’s right, ancient old Nancy. This is her endgame folks, she wants to be President. It’s a coup...

She wants it so bad she can taste it.

So bad it's driving Nancy into her present babbling delusion that she is right now the surrogate President.

The Impeachment has been like a massive shot of methamphetamine into Nancy's frail old bloodstream. And her Demwitted followers are treating her like "the real" President.

...the GOP should stop everything in the Senate and hold a 15 minute trial.

Suggestion.

...the GOP should stop everything in the Senate and hold a 15 minute trial and then immediately schedule 20 more federal judge hearings, about 15 minutes apiece.

MEMO TO HOUSE REPUBLICANS: Please remember that Nanci Pelosi can be easily impeached. Motion to impeach a member of the House voted by a majority in the House can then be sent to the Senate to be acted on. Believe it. It is true. Pelosi deserves to be impeached.

It will end if the GOP wins back the House. Probably unlikely, but I sure wouldn’t rule it out.

It’s obviously not that important to Pelosi so might as well forget about it.

What really ticks me off is we all know if this was reversed the rats would have done 2 days after the articles weren’t sent. Done and done.

It will end when these demon craps lose the House this November.

The Republicans in California should wise up and do their own ballot harvesting in California.

But from what I’ve seen of the Republican party in California it might be too much to ask for.

Senate rule changes, to my understanding, have never been subject to filibuster.

I’m all for making Nancy choke her impeachment farce, but logically, a case has to be delivered to a court, in this instance the Senate, before the court can dismiss it.

This route plays into the Dems hands. Pelosi knows they have zilch, and they risk cans of worms being opened about Dems, Ukraine, and lots of family grifting. The best she’ll get is humiliated by their moronic case being exposed to questions. But if the case is thrown out before it is presented, she gets to miss all that, and the media will howl like rabid werewolves on how the Dems were cheated out of their sure thing impeachment. Much better to force them to present their case, and grill the bastids like the mendacious teenagers they are until “lying scoundrel” is burned into their faces.

The House voting the Articles of Impeachment are in public record. Like an unsealed indictment, only defendant can ask for extension. Turtle should set date of opening of trial. If House mangers don’t show up, Senate should dismiss case with prejudice finding President is not guilty and precluding a double jeopardy impeachment by House for same Shiftface articles.

Not if we can take back the House.

Stop them in their tracks.

Vote Republican.

There is nothing wrong with the Senate voting down the articles of impeachment without discussion or review.

That is the equivalent of a judge dismissing an indictment of the grounds it is totally unfounded.

The two impeachment articles are stupid garbage—and they are unworthy of the Senate’s time.

You raise a good point! Nanzi may be delaying things purely because she’s getting all shot up with Botox and collagen again.

She’s a vain old b*tch, looking more and more like a hideous skull with a wig on.
