President Trump claimed Sunday that his tweets are sufficient notice to Congress of any possible U.S. military strike on Iran, in an apparent dismissal of his obligations under the War Powers Act of 1973.
Trump’s declaration, which comes two days after his administration launched a drone strike that killed top Iranian military commander Qasem Soleimani, was met with disbelief and ridicule from congressional Democrats, who called on the president to respect the role of the legislative branch in authorizing new military action abroad.
“These Media Posts will serve as notification to the United States Congress that should Iran strike any U.S. person or target, the United States will quickly & fully strike back, & perhaps in a disproportionate manner,” Trump tweeted from his Mar-a-Lago Club in Palm Beach, Fla., late Sunday afternoon. “Such legal notice is not required, but is given nevertheless!”

Weren’t the Christian Persians (i.e., the *real* Iranians) the first to use Twitter for more than answering the question, “What are you doing?” Not so many years ago, they organized their demonstrations against the Muslim Arab rulers, and made an appeal to the US for help. All the Dems and MSM go over President Trump’s Tweets with a fine toothed comb, so they should be deemed as being duly notified - let the world be witness to it through Twitter just as the globe once witnessed the plight of the Persians.
The Dems and MSM are actually siding with a bunch of Arab bullies against Trump, the American citizen voters who back him, and the suffering Persians who deserve to have their country back.

That’s funny.....because they said not a damn thing about Obama’s drone strikes including taking out some terrorists who were US citizens. They also said nothing when Obama claimed he did not have to nvoke the War Powers Act for firing 150+ Tomahawks into Libya while leading from behind because “that was not an act of war”.
But now since Trump took out a terrorist in Iraq oh well.....that’s different you see......

It’s time to test the “War Powers Act”
There is no reason to suppose that Congress can delegate its sole and exclusive war powers elsewhere, as much as they would love to do so.
And there is no reason to suppose that Congress can exercise authority over the prerogatives of the Commander in Chief of the Army and the Navy, other than by reconfiguring those forces to make them weaker or stronger.
One thing seems certain and that is the liberals will be ramping up the calls and pushing for Trump to be banned on Twitter.
The President is driving both the Democrats and the Iranians crazy. It’s a win-win against America’s enemies!
