"Google's search methods 'gave' millions of votes to Hillary Clinton during the 2016 presidential election."

I don't get this. How is that even possible?

Are they saying that Google controls the electronic voting machines in this country?

The votes, for the most part, ARE actually counted by a foreign owned company - I have heard. With soros connections....true or false?

Advertising works.

The Google search business is essentially paid advertising. Results are biased to preferentially show you what they want you to see - and ignore what they don't want you to see.

We may all wish to believe that we are immune to advertising and make our own decisions based upon rational self interests. It just isn't so.

It may be even worse for conscientious, intelligent people who use Google to search for "news" items and information related to contemporary issues. They will be fed a steady stream of spin, deception, and outright lies in their search results. Many innocents will succumb.

If you repeat lies often enough with absolute confidence, there will always be a number of people who will believe them and act accordingly.

That's how you get 2-3 million extra votes for Hillary Clinton in a national election.

It's more subtle than that.

Send out "Get out the vote" reminders to Clinton supporters but not to Trump supporters. Epstein found that this sort of gaming had a small effect but in a close election a small effect can matter.

Or bias the search results on political questions, as discussed on FR a lot.

Search Robert Epstein. He has some interesting material online. And it's from someone with excellent Establishment credentials. He can't be dismissed as a "deplorable."

My take on it is that there are voters in every election who wait until a few weeks before an election before they decide who to vote for. Google knows this, and they manipulate search results. They elevate all the positive articles about Hillary, while burying all of the scandals. They in the meantime did the reverse with Trump by suppressing the positive while elevating the negatives.

It’s all done as a way to sway these last minute voters.

In post 33 he is quoted talking about opinions and votes. I’m guessing it is “votes” for an opinion - not election votes. I get tempted to hit some of those that pop up (”Do you think Trump is doing a good job?”), but I never do. Who knows where that information goes?

“Hey - Harvey! Another idiot hit ‘yes’ and our virus automatically downloaded!”
