Yes. Every coup has its “foundation,” but the foundation is just that, preparation for the coup. the coup is the strike, the blow as it were, itself, not the preparation. Washing your hands is not eating the meal, even though it is preparation for the meal.
My point is that in our current world, the coup doesn’t have to be military and by armed force. Democracies (and republics) are vulnerable to law fare, and this is what is happening right now. Pelosi seriously thinks she’ll be president.
