My point is that in our current world, the coup doesn’t have to be military and by armed force. Democracies (and republics) are vulnerable to law fare, and this is what is happening right now. Pelosi seriously thinks she’ll be president.
A coup is a coup. Call what has been happening as takeover attempts. There is no coup. A coup is a specific kind of takeover attempt. It is not a generic to fit any circumstance a reporter wants to sound sexier.
