I know it’s wrong to post other topics but I forgot how to post so I hope my fellow freepers do not mind. Since my husband committed suicide four years ago my daughters PTSD has gotten worse I got my LPN license and work a shift in five days I struggle to make ends meet I have gotten behind in my mortgage and We had no Christmas or food to celebrate with a need please help Give me your wise Ice

There are some advantages to storing remotely and in some applications (like, say, vacation homes you aren’t at most of the year or businesses) it makes sense. Likewise if there is every chance that the intruders will get to and take the recording device/video storage, as was the case with a friend whose house was recently burgled.

However, this has to be balanced against security concerns and “what is my video storage service going to do with my recordings.”
