Special Operator 1st Class Corey Scott, a medic in the platoon, told the investigators: You could tell he was perfectly OK with killing anybody that was moving. Such dire descriptions of Gallagher, who had eight combat deployments and sometimes went by the nickname Blade, are in marked contrast to Trumps portrayal of him at a recent political rally in Florida as one of our great fighters.

Who cares? If he killed all the bad guys who moved, he deserved a medal not the brig.
Actual warriors deplore Gallagher and no amount of arm chair website heros can defeat that fact so please save all the vitriol that seems to go with killing the messenger. There is a reason his shipmates testified against him and now are still giving press statements about what a dirtbag he is.
Yep. “Actually warriors” like Admiral McDirtbag and his fellow travelling pals at the NY Times.
The article is typically one-sided. The UCMJ was “upended” when the prosecutors committed a crime by spying on and hacking into the defense site, and further by the Navy’s effort to cover it up by awarding commendation medals to the criminal prosecutors. No mention of this “upending.” Trump righted an unethical and criminal wrong. Mention is made of Miller’s promotion to chief (CPO), as if that is proof of his veracity; but Gallagher was also promoted to chief at one time, so the same implication should apply to his veracity, but no mention. Gallagher accused several SEALs of cowardice, and three have left the Navy. Are there dots to be connected there? Shabby reporting. Weeping SEALs? Seems to be a confluence of clashing cultures, real SEALs vs Obama SEALs.
We need a lecture from Democrat journalists on heroism. From guys who have never been in harms way.
Theyre far more dangerous to our country than soldiers who literally risk their lives for it.
The pen isnt mightier than the sword.
It seems that, historically, the SEAL teams have had to put up with senior commanders who either resented the idea of special warfare being outside the purview of regular squid commanders, or their misguided concept of using SEAL teams as uber storm troopers. The Navy’s senior staff has long been unable to evolve and, as a result, the SEAL teams suffer their idiocy.
You of course have far more military experience than people who do it as a career so I think we know who the dirtbag is. A Mr Know It All Armchair Admiral. And when did you get your Seals trident? Yeah, I didnt think so,
I’m not defending their stories, but, in his defense, the medic is first and foremost a fully qualified SEAL, having earned his Trident like all the others, who has then been assigned the specialty of medic. A SEAL team comprises many, if not all, such specialties, making them as self sufficient in the field as possible.
Eddie Gallagher has far more experience with warfare than the entire NYT put together.
War is a nasty business and people get killed. Men like the chief put their lives on the lines so dirtbag journalists at home can slander them.
We take our freedom for granted and forget that without the soldiers who gave their last full measure of devotion, none of us would be enjoying it today.
They have my undying respect.
Was he accused of killing any civilian?....I’d believe ALL civilians were the enemy?
Theyre far more dangerous to our country than soldiers who literally risk their lives for it.
Gunga Dan gotcha covered, son.
Yeah, a regular Ernie Pyle, he is. /s
There is a photo on google images of the dumbass actually toting a weapon...I can't retrieve it, for whatever reason.
Image the staging required to cover that "shoot," as it were.
Seems to take twenty or thirty clowns to cover an half-assed rain storm nowadays.
I’m not convinced killing a captured terrorist is a real crime, nor that you have to be a weepy witness to the NYT to be a real man. But in any case, Gallagher was not convicted and the Prosecution was so weak they resorted to outright criminal activity to hang him.
Well you obviously have never been in the military. Everyone is taught that it is a crime to kill a prisoner of war. Everyone. There is no special Seal exception. That is why most people in the military consider this dirtbag a criminal.
Your respect is misplaced when it comes to Gallagher.
You probably would have supported Lt Calley when he murdered a whole village during Vietnam and was charged with a crime.
You want him on that wall, you need him on that wall.
I am with you.
The objective of any war - Kill the enemy and break their things.
My guess is if Chief Gallagher was on Operation Redwing, three SEALs would still be alive instead of just the Lone Survivor.
