Two Possibilities in Trump Wiretapping, and Neither Is Good
The American Thinker ^ | 27 December 2019 | Frank Watt

The report of the I.G.'s findings on the use of FISA in the FBI Crossfire Hurricane investigation is an outrage. As a 22 year FBI Agent, I have personally conducted multiple investigations using both Title III "wiretaps" and FISA authorized intercepts. From this perspective, I can only see two possible interpretations of the actions of the FBI and DOJ. Either scenario should anger and frighten every fair minded citizen who takes the time to read the report and understand its implications. . . snip

If the heinous abuses documented in the I.G.s report result in a weakening or loss of FISA, we will all be the worse for it. If those responsible are not held to account, this will happen again. There is no happy face to put on this episode.

Yes. It’s very frustrating. In a twisted way, they seem focused on the Woodward & Bernstein model. You just have to bring down the President. That’s the whole goal of the game. But they don’t seem to realize that the Political Establishment is corrupt and treasonous and really needs to be toppled. But those are the people the journalists are propping up. The guy who wants to cleanup the mess in Washington is the guy the journalists want to destroy.

I’ve worked with quite a few journalists. On the whole, they are not the brightest. They don’t generally have any deep knowledge on any topic. They write fast. That’s their primary skill. It doesn’t make them deep thinkers.

Some of them are Leftwing ideologies who just want someone like Hillary to rule over us. But most of them are just too dumb to really distinguish the Good Guys from the Bad Guys.

“...one main stream media person ...to wake up...”

One of the reasons this will not happen is because many of the so called main stream “journalists” have spouses or family members who are members the deep state. They will always provide cover.

Somewhere there is a chart demonstrating the network of connections although I don’t have time to look for it now.

FR POSTED-——AAG Matthew Whitaker Discusses Upcoming IG Report on FISA Abuse and Trump Campaign Surveillance.

Following leaked revelations that former FBI lawyer Kevin Clinesmith manipulated evidence to attain a Title-1 surveillance warrant against U.S. person Carter Page to conduct political espionage against the Trump campaign, former AAG Matthew Whitaker discusses the IG investigation and upcoming IG report.

Whitaker notes the bigger issues are how the FISA process generally has been abused and potentially long-term ramifications.

It is also worth remembering it wasn’t just “wiretaps” that were gained, the FBI requested and received full Title-1 surveillance authority including:
<><>wiretaps,
<><> electronic surveillance,
<><> the use of bugs and tracking devices,
<><> physical surveillance,
<><> electronic surveillance
<><> satellite geo-location surveillance
<><> and much more.

The FBI requested a type of surveillance generally reserved for tracking suspected terrorists.

When Mr. Clinesmith manipulated evidence to attain the warrant, he was working under the guidance of FBI supervisory agent Peter Strzok. -—snip——rest on FR

Some astute observers date 2012 as the beginning of Obama's spying on Trump.
But, of course, to hear Comey tell it, he "knew nothing" about it....cackle.
In Sept 2013, Obama appointed Comey FBI Director.
Comey learned the art of deception at the knees of his boss-----then-pres Obama.

=============================================

REALITY CHECK There are dozens of memos that make up an actual diary of moment-by-moment events, during the FBI
investigation of Donald Trump (as candidate and as president), documented by Obama’s FBI Director Comey......

SOURCE: CONSERVATIVE TREEHOUSE | 4/9/2019 | SUNDANCE / FR Posted by bitt

A late day submission to DC Circuit Court in a FOIA case reveals the content of previously unknown James Comey memos. Obama’s entire anti-Trump operation is memorialized in writing:
<><> how Obama’s FBI Director James Comey wrote down the sources and code-names assigned;
<><> how confidential sources engaged with FISA coverage initiated by Obama’s FBI;
<><> naming foreign governments assisting Obama and Hillary with their vile efforts;
<><> and the rollout plans for Obama’s phony investigation.....”by the book.”

During her ill-fated campaign Hillary bragged about “foreign governments” supporting her election.

The big money from various industries all have a stake in the old status quo.

And they see the likes of China getting away with censorship, propaganda, internments, etc. and drool with the prospect of using those techniques to siphon America’s wealth and power into their own hands.

Which is why they hate elections.

Intentional criminal corruption is the only possibility.

This was the same group of people twisting and contorting evidence in order to exonerate Hillary Clinton in the email investigation.

They were so biased that they did not even create a sacrificial lamb in the Clinton email case to make it seem like a legitimate investigation. Even after finding classified emails on Anthony Weiner’s laptop, they gave Clinton the green light to carry on without any worry of charges. They gave immunity to everyone involved and quickly destroyed the evidence so no follow-up review could be made.

Meanwhile, Trump spent over 2 years under investigation, being wiretapped and threatened with impeachment and imprisonment daily.

Meanwhile, the evidence gathered kept clearing him and his campaign of any wrongdoing.

Because it was the same group of people in both investigations and the bias so clear, it is undeniable that it is criminal beyond anything we have seen in this nation.

The ONLY way they are going to keep the FISC is for a lot of people to go to jail. Also Collyer wants to retire, she really should be terminated. Nunes told her about these problems and she did nothing. I don’t think she should live out her life in luxury on the taxpayer dime. That applies to any judge who signed the warrants as well.

If the FBI was actually, thoroughly, investigating Carter Page, they would have come across the evidence that Page was working for the US as a source independently of Clinesmith.

Nathanbedford, I usually don’t correct the word choice of others, but you write so excellently that I was surprised by your continued use of misfeasance when what happened was malfeasance. Malfeasance is any act that is illegal or wrongful. Misfeasance is an act that is legal but improperly performed. There is absolutely nothing that cabal did which was legal. They didn’t make “errors.” They committed criminal acts for which I doubt they will be held accountable. So we, at least, should accurately describe their actions.

Good point. You always hear media types whining about deadlines. You almost never hear them talk about accuracy. If and when they do, they merely tick off the ‘confirmation’ box as cover even though such confirmations are often fallacious.

The last paragraph says it all.

The author is trying to save the FISA court.

The FISA court needs to be abolished.

Is there not a single one of them who cares about the country their children are inheriting? Not one?

The equally infuriating and tragic answer is no. Not one.
