She is delaying in order to get the courts to give her:
>Trump’s taxes
>All the Mueller Grand Jury raw transcripts
>Mulvaney and other’s testimony
These are all currently before the courts and if she can delay acquittal or dismissal until they decide she will get all three. If McConnell acquits or dismisses before the courts rule she will get nothing.
That’s her strategy.
Harvard Law Trump hater Noah Feldman’s made up theory that there’s no impeachment until she mails the letter is an attempt (which is working very well) to trick McConnell into not dismissing or acquitting until those cases are decided.
Nancy it’s called doing YOUR job and not manipulating the system by trying to manage/pressure others or other parts of the system when it’s clear you have no right to.

I think she’s stalling for some other reason entirely, and in the background they’re setting up a new “frame” of POTUS, or waiting for better material. There are enough rats embedded in the Executive to cook up new charges and roll them out at critical moments in 2020. In the meantime she has assauged the radicals and applied the “stain” of impeachment to a president running for reelection.
Most likely they already have something in the pot.
Also, they’re after Pence too.
And without the “stain” of impeachment it would be that much harder to oppose a SCOTUS appointment which is looking very nearly certain in 2020. So ready or not they had to impeach quickly, because a vacancy could happen any day now.

Mitch was saying long before the House vote that a senate trial would follow the same rules as Clinton’s trial.

Nancy and the Left are accustomed to judge shopping their legal complaints positioning for favorable outcomes. The Constitution imposes a difficult inconvenience to them in this impeachment case. There is only the Senate to act as judge and jury.
She has no clue what to do, has no place to turn.
McConnell is “drawing out the timeline for a trial” because that can be done with or without Nancy’s permission. The Senate can just take a vote and acquit and be done with it. OR the Senate can do a full blown trial with all the witnesses to everything. Republican senators don’t want that, though, because their own hands are too deeply buried in the cookie jar of deep state corruption which would all be bared.
