On its face, a tweet President Trump sent last week is fairly benign. It doesn’t mock anyone, isn’t personally nasty and hasn’t caused any hair-on-fire controversy.
Yet it is powerful in its own way, for it artfully sums up the Trump era from the perspective of the president and his supporters. With a likeness to the Uncle Sam “I want you” poster, the disrupter-in-chief reaffirms in 14 words the belief of Trump Nation that the political establishment, the media, the permanent bureaucracy and yes, the deep state are trying to crush him and them.
Critics regard it as fear-mongering, and there is no denying that the president wanted to rally his base, lest it be discouraged by the day’s events.
Yet Trump’s oblique reference to a weaponized and powerful adversary is hardly unfounded, with a partisan, flimsy impeachment the latest example. The tweet’s siren call to believers is a shorthand way of saying that impeachment is just a continuation of the endless attacks against us.
Indeed, his presidency effectively begins with a prophecy of those attacks, one that came 17 days before Trump took the oath.
“Let me tell you: You take on the intelligence community — they have six ways from Sunday at getting back at you,” Sen. Chuck Schumer said on MSNBC.
It was an incredible thing to say in a nation where the people are supposedly sovereign, but soon it would become clear that Schumer knew what he was talking about, which still raises questions.

I was thinking about this, this morning.
I was thinking that one (of many) aspects of Western Culture is a concept of “honor” that is intimately connected with the concept of “honesty.”
For example, in Western culture, one doesn’t join an organization if that organization’s goals and mission are in opposition to one’s beliefs.
And if one is a member of an organization, and the leadership of that organization changes direction to a degree that one finds unacceptable, the honorable thing to do is resign from the organization. Once you have resigned, you are free to criticize the organization as an outsider if you choose.
The idea of joining an organization under false pretense, with the goal of destroying the organization, is dishonorable. Except, I suppose, in time of war... which many on the left believe is the state of affairs.
This idea has taken hold in our culture to an extent that may be irreversible.
One of the key factors that has made America great, rich, and strong, is a fundamental belief in honesty; by decentralizing government power and enshrining basic human rights, our government has not been able to infringe upon the right of each American to seek the truth as he or she sees it, and to express truth and try to convince others of truth without fear that government power would be brought against you.
Many Americans no longer believe in this idea, including immigrants such as the members of “the squad.” They think America grew great and rich because of dishonesty and crimes committed throughout our history; this is the exact opposite of the truth.

The Left fakes hate crimes and warns voters of a dark and dangerous political party’s members.
Go burn an LGBTQ flag and then tell me they are not out to destroy you. Tell me it’s all a conspiracy construct. Tell me.
If you think someone is after you. It’s not paranoia; someone probably is after you.
Its totally true. Look at the left who threatens his supporters at every opportunity.
