Before we get into the political shows too deep, I want to mention to this group...anybody got any ideas why Pelosi didn’t send the impeachment stuff to the senate?
So far I’ve read eleventy thousand reasons she did it and what will be the result.
It’s just so odd and my feeling is that even the Alan Dershowitz’ of this world don’t know what will be the upshot.

I think she’s trying to drag the whole “impeachment” process out because as soon as it goes to the Senate, it’s going to be a quick acquittal. It’s all ‘down side’ & she knows it so keep the news media talking, speculating, etc. Except ... ‘normal’ people are pissed already with the DemonRat clown show & getting even madder - myself included. Trumps “impeachment” is already ‘politicized’ on steroids, which is something the Founders were concerned about .... the delay further proves the point that it’s all political. It’s not a ‘good look’ for the DemonRats.
Robert Ray, former independent counsel & who seems like a reasonable guy, said Mitch needs to set a trial date in the Senate. If the Articles/House Managers are there by then, fine ... they can proceed. If Nancy is still not sending the Articles over, then the whole shebang should be dismissed. It’s that simple (so he says - sounds about right to me).
She knows it's a loser. She already knows that McConnell working with the President will get rid of her lies and misrepresentations in the impeachment docs in hours if not minutes. They do not have any impeachable conduct whatsoever within them and the Senate will vote to not remove Trump from Office so fast it will show her three year lunatic craze over reversing the election just what it is.

He will still be impeached by for stupid reasons in the first place. You gotta give Trump huge amounts of credit for holding a rally in Mich. on the same night the house was voting to impeach him. Name me any other potus that would do that. He knows that Americans know its all a political game and should not be taken seriously but rather see it for what it is political shenanigans.
She thinks she’s rubbing it in Pres. Trump face and wants him to twist in the wind a little.
She knows it is dead on arrival so she’s trying to postpone the day that happens.
Not much will happen in the next two weeks, but after the New Year she’ll be forced to proceed or the Turtle will preemptively dismiss it.
In my opinion, the withholding crap makes it look even more hatefully partisan than the whole process has already appeared.
A much bigger worry of mine is the number of GOP House members retiring.
We still need to get the democrats out of control of the House and all this dies.
Maybe Nanzi thinks she can keep the House and gain the Senate. She thinks she’s pretty smart and crafty, but she already missed her requirement of making the impeachment bipartisan, which a few months ago she was insisting is the standard and would happen. But Pencil Neck Shitt blew that to smithereens.
As it is, the Republicans have been strengthened and united greatly; far beyond what we expected.
So she thinks she’s the political genius. Like Wile E. Coyote, she’s not as smart as she thinks. If she suffered a 10th of the media scrutiny any Republican gets she’d wilt like the old flower she is.
But we need to prove her wrong (once again).
My best guess is she is hoping for some new devastating new scandal to break.
But she is also up against Durham potentially indicting half the FBI and former Obama people.
We shall just ignore them and muddle onward.

How bad is it when you have a 3 hour debate and the only thing that came out is one of them had a fundraiser with some really rich people.
Why doesn’t one of them take a club to Biden and ax him about his connection with Ukraine? He would be done in 5 mins. They are all guilty for not asking.

If she follows the usual path, not news. By taking unprecedented action, that action becomes the news and preoccupies the news. The alternative is that the news has time to discuss the merits of the case.
Now the news will present why the Senate process is awful and the outcome is a predetermined partisan thing, unless they can peel off Romney, Murkowski, Collins, etc., in which case the narrative will be there is bipartisan agreement Trump should be removed from office over his interaction with Ukraine's Zelenskyy.

I believe that Pelosi is so imbedded within the slimy Swamp bubble that she simply has NO idea of the real world. Why else would she prance around bragging of "the power of the gavel", and then demand from McConnell that the Senate bow to her demands of what should be the conviction rules.
Reality, of course, is that there is no case for conviction, and the best thing that could happen is that she withholds the impeachment papers indefinitely. They would die at the end of the Pelosi Congress, and the failed impeachment asterisk would go after Pelosi's name in the history books and not after Trump's.
To me she hopes something bigger will break and they can add to their fake charges
One possibility . Supreme Court rules against Trump on Executive privilege claim.
That way she can cite Dems version of Obstruction.....
key is timing of that ruling and the answer to does the vote mean he’s Impeached minus receipt of articles by Senate.

Pelosi and her minions want to get their hands on that material so they can use it as opposition research to beat POTUS over the head with. There is something there they want. The house Rats think the longer they hold off sending the impeachment stuff to the Senate, the better chance they have of obtaining that info.
