It’s the media outlets who decide whether someone is impeached or not. Trump was from the moment he won the election.

Trump should repeat that he wasn’t impeached until the Democrats’ heads explode. The GOP leadership should also join in, so it will be impossible for the establishment press to ignore. They want their asterisk, and won’t be denied.

Im no "House Democrat impeachment expert" but I'd say that if Senators can read it in the Congressional Record, they have been notified. Take it to trial, if the Democrats don't show up, so what?
Trump isn’t “deemed” impeached until House managers formally show up in the Senate fo impeach him.
Until then, impeachment hasn’t happened.

Harvard Law Professor (and pretend Harvard history professor) Feldman is the so called impeachment expert quoted here. And he is a snake with severe TDS. There is no way he would marshall the facts even if they existed to say something benefiting Trump.
I urge you to read the underlying bloomberg article. Feldman keeps making the same assertion over and over and saying there’s history behind it but he never gets around to actually providing the evidence.
So why would he do this?
As Sundance at Conservative Treehouse points out this impeachment is a means not an end. The House is arguing in court to obtain all of Mueller’s grand jury testimony which is sure to have a lot of juicy unsubstantiated but fit for the so called news media gossipy tidbits. The courts have said maybe not because you never opened a formal impeachment inquiry which the didn’t because it would have given the House minority rights to call witnesses etc.
Now they can say “our House managers need this info for the trial”. This way they get what they want, while skipping the part where Nunes and co ever had a chance to call witnesses.
All they need to succeed is:
1. McConnell to say no more witnesses. Check
2. McConnell to NOT DISMISS OR ACQUIT before the court unseals the testimony in late January.
Feldman’s article is designed to further #2.

The House not only told the Senate but told the entire world that Trump is impeached. The Articles of Impeachment are available for all to read.
And Nancy Pelosi seems not to care. This is as tiresome as watching someone swing their arms in a circular motion trying to generate electricity.

Absolutely true. I thought the same thing and hoped Trump would shout loudly that he isNOT impeached until the articles are filed, period.

A new house means the articles are null and void if they are not sent to the senate.
Just make GD sure the gop wins the majority then.
A new congress is not bound by prior congresses.
