Trump Becomes 3rd President to Be Impeached, Vote Details Follow
Trump War Room ^

Posted on 12/18/2019 5:41:19 PM PST by Pollard

Democrats in the U.S. House of Representatives have officially impeached the 45th President of the United States, Donald J. Trump, over an interpretation of a 30-minute phone call between Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. The vote in the House took place after around 10 hours of debate on the floor, after a near-three month process, and just one day shy of the 21-year anniversary of the impeachment of President Bill Clinton – another of only three Presidents ever impeached.

The two articles of impeachment passed as follows (numbers will update as results come in):

Article 1: Abuse of Power: 230 YEA vs 197 NAY vs 1 PRESENT

Two Democrats voted ‘NAY’ on Abuse of Power while one – believed to be Presidential candidate Tulsi Gabbard – simply voted “Present” – a form of abstention.

Article 2: Obstruction of Congress: [Awaiting Result]

[Awaiting Result] Democrats voted ‘No’ on Obstruction of Congress.

I wonder what percentage of Demscum voters will be surprised when Trump is still President tomorrow? My guess is way more than 50%.

Bigger picture: the GOP better never ever be the minority power in both houses with a sitting GOP President... for he'll be summarily railroaded out of office. That's precedent has now been set.

2 possibilities that I see

Gutless wonders or they did not want to dignify this whole thing with a vote (that would be the best excuse for the gutless wonders)

From the Commie News Network:

Here’s what how the vote on the first article of impeachment — abuse of power — went down:

Democrats: 230 yeas
Republicans: 197 nays

One member, Democratic Rep. Tulsi Gabbard, voted present.

The vote on the second article of impeachment — obstruction of Congress — spilt almost entirely along party lines.

Here’s the final vote count:

Democrats: 230 yeas
Republicans: 197 nays

Rep. Tulsi Gabbard, a 2020 Democratic presidential candidate, was again the only Democrat to vote present.

Cool; the Nasty Pelosi, Schiff, and Nadler clown show is over. Time to get back to normal business after the quick needless trial since there's no evidence of wrongdoing.

Amash, who now counts himself as an indepedent, not a Republican, voted for impeachment.

There was one Republican whose vote was recorded for about 90 seconds as an “Yes” vote, and then was switched to a “No” vote. It appears that the vote was misrecorded and then corrected. The CSPAN host mentioned that rather than using their electronic voting cards, most Republicans were going personnaly to the clerk to record their vote, so it likely was a mistake on the part of the clerk, rather than on the part of the Republican Congressperson.
