Even after last week’s extensive public hearings, the American public remains split on impeaching President Trump, with 50 percent in support of the process and 43 percent against it.
But some groups of Americans are a lot more supportive of impeachment than others. In a CNN poll released Tuesday, a full 61 percent of women were in favor of impeaching Trump while 34 percent were against it. Among men, by contrast, just 40 percent support impeachment and 53 percent oppose it.
The gender gap also shows up in Trump’s approval ratings: 52 percent of men approve of how the president is doing compared with 32 percent of women, according to the CNN poll.
One big factor at work in the gender divide is party identification. Women are more likely than men to be Democrats, and “one of the strongest drivers of support for impeachment is partisanship,” Kelly Dittmar, an assistant professor of political science and scholar at the Center for American Women and Politics, told Vox. In the CNN poll, 90 percent of Democrats supported impeachment compared with just 10 percent of Republicans.
Don’t tar me with that emotional/irrational brush-I’m nothing of the sort, and I’m keeping my voting rights-so let’s have a test of basic constitutional facts for every potential voters-male and female-before anyone can vote-fail it and you do not vote-that would get rid of stupid people-AKA liberals- voting...
I started supporting President Trump as soon as he announced. I knew he would be better than any politician and I was right.

Unfortunately, women are far more likely to be brainwashed than men. They make decisions based solely on emotions. Watch any program when a dem on it, you hear their mantra, “women and minorities, women and minorities” over and over again and it has worked remarkably well. The left has always targeted women as the weak link in the resistance to their assumption of power.
They are just jealous that they can’t have him.

I am very discouraged by the comments on this thread. It does not seem right that FReepers would make such broad (no pun intended) generalizations about women, and how they might vote.
Particularly when dealing with an article and poll “results” that are both likely to be less than truthful.

The Judiciary Committee “debates” were on CNN last night and that surprised me. Weren’t they afraid their viewers were going to learn something? I know liberals who swear by CNN reporting and how on earth would they have seen any of the debating last night without questioning what they’ve been told before this?
Just now my favorite puke from CA Swalwell read from an
L. A. Times article about the “deaths” in Ukraine after aid was withdrawn in response to Doug Collins (GA) saying they need to STOP saying what IS NOT TRUE about that. I guess he expected a gold star for being able to read. He got up and walked the piece of paper over to Collins. What a child!
Collins just read a portion of the L. A. Times article that Swalwell walked over to him and it said there was no way to prove people died because aid was held up. He thanked Swalwell for doing his job for him - “Keep it coming”, he said...Swalwell turned all shades of red at his end of the dias.
Keep going, Congressman Collins. You do our state well and thanks for fighting for what is RIGHT!
