Thousands of demonstrators in Hong Kong staged a Thanksgiving rally on Thursday evening in response to President Donald Trump signing two bills in support of the citys pro-democracy movement.
Demonstrators took to the streets shortly after the president signed the legislation. Some draped themselves in U.S. flags and expressed gratitude for the administrations support.
The rationale for us having this rally is to show our gratitude and thank the U.S Congress and also President Trump for passing the bill, student Sunny Cheung, 23, told Reuters. We are really grateful about that and we really appreciate the effort made by Americans who support Hong Kong, who stand with Hong Kong, who do not choose to side with Beijing.

.....”Those flags will cause great embarrassment in Chinas government”.....
I have mixed feelings about US flags being flown in Hong Kong.... And yet I understand the Hong Kong people wanted to thank Americans for standing with them.
....”Complicated situation”.....
Appears so, Yes...Unfortunately I haven’t been following Hong Kongs protests so I’m quite limited in understanding their plight. It seemed to start with one thing and grew to something altogether different than it began.
G-d Bless these brave Hong Kongers in their fight for Freedom.
I pray often for these brave people in Hong Kong.
May God bless them and may God show Trump the proper ways to assist them.
It seems strange that patriots in a far away land can see Trump for what he is and the US MSM leads the charge against Trump and supports the Communist Chinese regime....unbelievable :-/

This is the best interview I have seen in a long time.
You should watch it till the very end.
Great insights into the character of Trump and his family.
I thank God more every day that this good man is the President.
He is dedicated to the middle-class Americans, the regular, decent folk who make the world work.
Imagine what state the world would be in if Hillary had cheated her way to the presidency....shudder

Those people waving the US flag are exactly the sort this country needs!
Let them come if their struggle against the CCP fails...we will gladly welcome them home.
More pro-America than most Democrats.
Whole lot of in between in Hong Kong. Its been said that in HK, once you step out of the light and into the shadows, its a whole different world.
And while that could be said of any large metropolis, in HK, its more so. Ancient culture there.
Even tho I can’t understand it (even the English is badly miked), it gives me chills to watch them stand up for their freedom, and to look to us as role models.
Some folks think that nothing that is useful is our concern (or at least their concern).
Is this your concern:

Great article!
Pleasing the Chicoms is not our concern.
That is a neat idea. And, boy, do we have just the right guy for that job in just the right place.
We are on a win/loose trajectory with China. We win, they loose. Trump knows this and Xi knows this. The question for China is how badly do you want to loose? Make a deal that satisfies our demands, now and take the loss, or wait a year when it will become worse for you. That’s the message here. Trump is telling Xi, “I don’t need to worry about making you happy with regards to Hong Kong. I have all the cards. You know it and I know it. My willingness to support the Hong Kong protesters shows how little I fear you.” From a negotiating stand point, this strengthens Trump’s hand.
“Not our concern.”
Sometimes doing the right thing is also the smart thing. This strengthens Trump’s hand in his negotiations with China.
We need a photo of Trump standing on the stage with the massive flag behind him like George C. Scott did in the opening of the movie PATTON.
Looks like they are dong the Pledge of Allegiance.
Amen!
Great Graphic - thanks.
HONG KONG FREEDOM YES!
COMMUNIST CHINA NO!
