Why did Sondland leave out of his opening statement that POTUS wanted nothing from Ukraine?

Bingo. This guy has an agenda and it’s not pro Trump. That phone call with Trump has been the most critical item today. Trump specifically said he wanted nothing from Ukraine. Yet, it wasn’t mentioned in the opening.
Gee whiz, he didn’t think it was very important. Not like it’s the whole focus of this circus.
Just maybe, Trump wants it this way.
One way or another, Trump is going to need an opportunity to get in front of the People and make his case. These inquiries are not going to work for him, they are doing damage.
So, perhaps the only way for Trump to clear his name is to have the Impeachment trial in the Senate. In a way that there’s no way the Press can spin it as they are now.
