My take....Sondland likes to ad lib......so you have to discount half of what he tells you.
I’m listening to Sondland and I don’t think he is really hurting Trump. Trump has every right to expect Ukraine to root out corruption and there was indications that Ukraine had some role in the 2016 election.
Bottom line is the aid was released without condition. Case closed.
Who cares?
There’s no crime here. Their witness admitted as much. The President’s own words to that effect.
No “gotcha” moment. Like someone observed on this thread, that happens only in the movies.

This is an excellent explanation for why they won’t impeach, IMO. They don’t dare hand this over to the R’s in the senate. It would be a democrat blood bath and they know it.

that was my argument with other Conservatives and Trump supporters- the rats risk too much by having an actual legal impeachment hearing....i’ve thought this all along..
His opinion is there was but the President contradicted him.
GOP needs to take it and run with it.

Well this is a let CNN run with the ball before a repub talks timed break. What an ass.
That is what I have thinking all along also, they dropped the ball when they should have nipped it in the Bud.
But there is that pesky “separation of powers” thing that makes this hard to do.
