Gordon Sondland, the U.S. ambassador to the European Union, will testify before the House Intelligence Committee on Wednesday, Nov. 20, as part of the impeachment probe into President Donald Trump.

Wait..because........
“The first to state his case ‘seems right’ until another comes and cross-examines him.”.........Proverbs 18;17
I keep bringing this up:
I’ve been on the juries of two technically complicated lawsuits that lasted about four weeks each. In both cases, early on in the testimony and a fair distance into the plaintiff’s case, I thought the defendant was toast. Yet both times I voted in favor of the defendant.
Let’s see how this plays out after the republican questioners get their time. I’m much looking forward to it. :)
what did he say in a nutshell?? I can’t watch and follow on this thread...
Maybe but it’s not going to win the day for the Rats. Nope.
“One thing about Trump, its about right and wrong, and hitting back. He is NOT going to stand down....”
That is what I am hoping for and, yes, expecting.
wiki:
In 1985, Sondland raised $7.8 million from friends and his wealthy brother-in-law and purchased the Roosevelt Hotel, a bankrupt Seattle hotel.
...
Sondland married Katherine Durant,[9] who is the founder and managing partner of Atlas/RTG, a holding company with a portfolio of shopping centers throughout Oregon.

Katy Durant, center, the outgoing chair of the Oregon Investment Council, attended her final meeting on Wednesday. She was first appointed in 2005. She is flanked by Rukaiyah Adams, the incoming chair of the council, and Treasurer Ted Wheeler, who is mayor-elect of Portland and was also attending his last meeting of the council.
Gov. Ted Kulongoski raised eyebrows 11 years ago when he named Portland real estate investor Katy Durant to the citizen panel that oversees the state’s pension fund investments.
Some saw a conflict of interest with her day job. Others saw more of the political cronyism that had plagued the Oregon Investment Council in years past, because Durant’s husband, hotel developer Gordon Sondland, was a campaign contributor who served on the governor’s transition team.
What they don’t get is that what is actually happening is that he is giving the R’s plenty of fodder for them to prove he’s lying and just an anti-trump shill trying to CYA.
The more you say, the more you give your opponent to attack. He’s already contradicted himself and we’re just getting started.:)
Don’t worry. Looks like he’s still talking. They’ll have to take a break after this so that the media can tell America what he said.
I wish Sondland did not say “quid pro quo” in the open hearing.
OMG. He’s going to read his work eval like Vindman.
HUGE headline from CNN
IMPEACHMENT WITNESS DROPS BOMBSHELL says there was a quid pro quo
but then in smaller headline
“doesn’t know why aid was held up”
so why did he say that there was a quid pro quo?
The President trusted him. Thats why he went outside the usual State Dept channels.
After listening to Sondland, its easy to draw up the picture. State Dept types ARE cringe-inducing to me.
The Rats don’t care what happens on cross. They think they have their John Dean moment and they are going to run with it.
Yep. The more he says, the more ammunition he gives the R’s.
“I always thought Giuliani was a bad idea. He is a NYC pol, after all, and the game is played differently with those guys. He comes across as a mob fixer. Im not saying he is, but that is how he comes across.”
For your edification, Giuliani fixed the mob in NYC. By fix, I mean he utterly destroyed them.
He warmed up by taking out their control of the famous Fulton Fish Market. He kept at it and used effectively the RICO laws, new at that time to decimate the mob.
If he comes across this way as you say, then it’s not due to any knowledge or understanding.
I saw all of this first hand.
I wish Sondland did not say quid pro quo in the open hearing.
Bribery is the new thing
Far too early for the Democrats to celebrate.
Just shows how far behind his script writers are.
ha.
You mean Sondland didnt get the memo? Oh my... quid pro quo is so yesterday!
