South Bend, Ind., mayor Pete Buttigieg is threatening to upend the 2020 Democratic primary after a recent CNN poll found him comfortably leading the field in Iowa at 25 percent. Buttigieg's success has been driven in part by his popularity among rich white liberals with college degrees, as evidenced by his dominance in the "boat shoe" strongholds of Nantucket, Martha's Vineyard, and Cape Cod. However, some Democrats have expressed concern about Buttigieg's inability to win over black voters, a key Democratic constituency. A recent poll of South Carolina, for example, found Buttigieg receiving just 1 percent of the black vote in the early primary state. This perception of Buttigieg, who has been on the receiving end of protests and calls for his resignation from black residents of South Bend, was reinforced by reports that his campaign claimed endorsements from black lawmakers in South Carolina who hadn't actually endorsed the candidate, and used a stock photo taken in Kenya to promote Buttigieg's "Frederick Douglass Plan for Black America." Amid these bizarre revelations, a Buttigieg campaign organizer tweeted out a video of what is perhaps the whitest moment of the 2020 presidential race thus far: A group of white Baby Boomers in New Hampshire dancing to "High Hopes" by Panic! at the Disco, one of the whitest musical acts in the country.

I noticed that also. That wasn’t spontaneous...they’d had lots of practice before the video shoot.
If you’ve been to a wedding reception and the DJ spins up a line-dance song...half the dancers can do it well, some are obviously trying to learn the dance, others are stumbling thru the routine, a few are doing their own thing.
The ButtPluggers were too good at this dance without it being staged.

Interesting choice of words here.
If they were polling the exact same people every week, they would get the same results as the week before. There are too many candidates with the same message, “I hate Trump too!”. Their individual messages of stop every thing Trump has done, and then tax anything to death that’s still breathing, has spilt up the Democrats into too many camps. Next week someone else will lead the polls, because they don’t call the same exact people, they bothered the week before.

You can bet that any male candidate who gets the nomination will do this. A white female candidate, like Warren, will pick a black man, probablly Booker, as running mate.
Depends on whether you mean White Bread or Pumpernickel. Or something in between, like Rye. Or Rage Against the Machine.
Powder Puff Pete is a non starter... He and Warren are basically fighting over the same segments of the D base... overeducated white guilt liberals...
Problem is, no one has won the Demcorat Nomination without winning the black democrat primary voters.... And that bloc is solidly with Biden.. and will never vote for the condescending Pocahantas, and they aren’t going to show up for Adam and Steve either.
As long as the black vote sticks with Biden, which all indications are they are... He is their nominee..... Period.
Powder Puff Pete wouldn’t win statewide in his home state... he’s a non starter...
