You can now safely add Sprite to the list of corporations pandering to the LGBTQ community.
In a new, bizarre advertisement for their lemon-lime soda, the company clipped together scenes of various members of the LGBTQ community getting ready to attend a “Pride” event. In one scene, a girl helps her friend put on a binder, or an article of clothing commonly used by LGBTQ members to flatten their chests to present as male. In another, an older woman is seen helping a drag queen lace-up his corset. Yet another depicts two young children painting a heart onto a rainbow flag, the symbol of LGBTQ pride.
Describing the ad, however, simply doesn’t do it justice. These scenes play back-to-back with seemingly no context. In fact, the Sprite logo doesn’t even appear until the very last scene, leaving viewers wondering exactly what they’re seeing and why. More importantly, how does this tie in with carbonated beverages?
While the ad itself feels like a trip through a progressive television show meant for young adults questioning their sexuality, ultimately it is a money grab. It screams, “Hello, gays! Pay us because we give you airtime!”
But Sprite isn’t the first company to needlessly pander to the gay community. In 2014, Lucky Charms posted their “#LuckyToBe” campaign, encouraging people to “share what makes you colorful.” Starbucks posted the stories of “three transgender partners” and how they found “unconditional acceptance” at the coffee company. Apple, which boasts an openly-gay CEO who is a loud supporter of the community, supported the Equality Act of 2015.
The reaction to the soda’s company’s advertisement was swift and confused. Many users questioned the marketing strategy of not featuring your product at all during the commercial.
One user even noted the use of children to spread the pro-LGBTQ message, saying that the ad went beyond “consenting adults” and calling it “predation.”
Whatever you want to call it, this ad definitely doesn’t make one want to buy a Sprite.
Most people don’t care. Today’s corporate America will willingly bow down to any government-certified victim group and abandon the huge masses of normal people.
Because the normal people don’t need a TV ad to shore up their faltering ego and to certify their pride as minorities. The victims care, and get all excited to see themselves on TV and to have their pride moved up a notch.
More like a kiwi fruit that self identifies as an apple. Not even closely built, by design.
This is a symptom of sociopaths (which usually equal sexual predators of children) rising to the top of most large organizations.
The top managers of these corporations are dangerous sick people—good to know if you ever have to interact with any of them.
ALL soda is BAD for you!

1. Drop dead from a stroke. (from diabetes caused by SUGAR)
2. Die an agonizing slow death from cancer. (from sugar substitutes)
Both diseases usually leave you less than a whole human being before they KILL you.
Diabetes, exterior things like toes/feet/legs, eyes.
Cancer, inside things like lungs, stomach, intestines.
And ***THEN*** YOU DIE.
Not to mention all the CO2 you are releasing into the atmosphere. /s
STOP DRINKING SODA! For your health and life (and the health and life of the planet /s)
SODA WILL KILL YOU!
And not to mention those costly deposits and irritating bottle/can returns
I drink iced tea that I make myself (and an iced tea machine from Mr. Coffee), thanks Joe!
With a splash of lime juice or more than a splash of apple and/or cranberry juice. I fortunately get to use my own well water unpoisoned by chlorine, fluoride, and everybody elses flushed prescriptions.
Why? Living in Alabama, the only people I see buying tons (literally tons) of Sprite are African-Americans who do not particularly care for gay men. Gay men spend their money on Perrier, hard drugs and booze.
I’d rather drink 7-Up than of Sprite. Now I know why. Still, I buy Publix Lemon-Lime soda or Walmart’s Twist Up for mixers...

I know that sentiment wont be popular on FR, but this is so sad. The trans thing is a terrible tragedy. It is either a horrible mental disease, or a societal brainwashing, or a bit of both. These people are victims, they deserve our sympathy.

Sprite has been on my ban list for years.
Have you seen the latest Amazon commercial with the workers praising the company? One says Amazon is “trans friendly” and how much it has supported he/she/it. Yes, Amazon has been on my ban list for years as well. And General Mills (Lucky Charms), Starbucks, Apple and several hundred other companies.
My ban list has grown to dozens and dozens of pages.
Last year, Christmas commercials were full of gay partners, gay parents, gay lovers, gay, gay, gay. This year, they’re including children.
