Kanye West joined Pastor Joel Osteen on stage at his Lakewood Church on Sunday and said he plans to recruit the best talent in the music industry and release new Christian music every month.
“This music is going to come every month. We dropping that heat. We’re in the studio. God is strengthening our hands,” Kanye West said to the over 17,000 in attendance and the millions watching on livestream.
“The devil stole all the good producers, the devil stole all the good musicians, all the good artists, all the good designers, all the good businesspeople, and said you’ve got to come work for me,” West said.
“We have writers. We have producers. We’re taking all the most fire producers and bring them back to God,” the Grammy-winner said to the roar of applause. “All the best voices, all the best dancers, all the worship for us to see that it’s through Christ — following the Bible can free us all.”
“When we bring up the name of Jesus, we’re told to be quiet. Every time I stand up, I feel that I’m standing up and drawing a line in the sand and saying, ‘I’m here in service to God,'” West continued.
West explained how he came to make Jesus Is King, his ninth consecutive number one album and his first Gospel album.

Luke 18:25 does not provide that a poor man has a less impossible task.
It amazes me seeing the number of “so-called Christians” on here that are wanting Kanye to fail so they can claim “righteousness” just like the Pharisees of old. I find that disappointing and disgusting. These are the same kind of people that turned me away from religion years ago. It wasn’t until I found a Grace-based church that I became a true follower of Jesus. I then learned about a relationship with my Savior over “following a religion”. What a wonderful life I have now.

If you want to go to the BibleGate online concordance and search keywords "rich" and "poor" in the NT--- and read them straight through --- you might conclude that Jesus was strong on his anti-rich, pro-poor inclination, almost to the point of obstinacy.
Even Mary his sweet Mother took up the theme (Luke 2:46-55). Oy, it troubles me, too.

Did you actually read what I wrote( three posts on this thread, now four) or are you just angry about something? I’ll repeat. It’s great he’s doing what he’s doing but I’ll make an analogy. Suppose Kanye just started learning martial arts. He gets his first belt, not a black belt not a 5th dan black belt, just his first yellow belt. And Kanye goes out and makes a movie about martial arts and everyone wants to believe he’s the second coming of Chuck Norris or Bruce Lee.
Great he’s doing well. My fear for his soul is he’s going out there too fast and too hard without yet being grounded in the word. Can you understand this? Dylan and others went out and made people lose faith because they couldn’t stand for Jesus longer than a couple albums. My prayer AGAIN is for Kanye to be grounded in the word first before he POSSIBLY removes all doubt later on.
A new believer in the Lord should probably NOT be on stage preaching Jesus unless they can handle the push back and end up caught up later on in shallow words during interviews and worse.
I’ve seen it happen all too often.
I was told that, practically verbatim, by the richest guy in the parish, and his wife, at a Bible study. It's not an invariable law, but it makes sense. This particular man said a driven, confident, Alpha-style rich man doesn't take time to pray unless he's driven to his knees. In this brother's case, it was cocaine.
Do get your Strong's and read straight through the "rich" and "poor" NT passages, and experience is full, cumulative weight. It doesn't deviate much from chapter to chapter or from book to book. Some pretty uncomfortable reading.
