f you thought there werent any major elections until the Iowa caucuses on Feb. 3, guess again. On Saturday, Louisiana will choose between incumbent Democratic Gov. John Bel Edwards and Republican businessman Eddie Rispone for governor. And the race down in the Bayou looks increasingly close, so its an open question whether Edwards can once again overcome Louisianas deep red hue to win reelection. Heres where things stand heading into Election Day.

Or a basement dweller bot.
It has to be one of those.
I never say this about any voters or any state...but...I watched POTUS, Trump work his heart to win that governor seat in Louisiana over & over again....and, tonight i go to sleep feeling so badly for our great POTUS, and so upset with the GOP Louisiana voters.
God bless you Mr. President you did all any human being could do...you know the old saying, sir, “you can lead a horse to water....but...you cannot make him drink”!!! Sir; We, the majority of the American people, have your back...forever!!!
Could you be any more obvious, troll?
This one is over. Repub parishes mostly @ 100% votes counted.
Too many RAT parishes have too many votes not yet counted.
When the smoke clears - 52-48 Edwards
Edwards signed the strictest abortion bill in the nation..plus hes pro-second amendment...hes not exactly AOC...
And they sre aborting the Republic by their complcency anf abandoning their duty to pay attention and vote.
the ramifications of this loss: (1) sham-peachment will continue and intensify, moderate Dems in Trump districts will feel more comfortable (2) Sleepy Joe Biden will get stronger...
That is the thought I will be taking to sleep as well.
Little enough our President asks of us.
Correct. Edwards is palatable for Louisianians. As a native, I’m disappointed, but Edwards is decent
Drudge has his lil siren up...hes happy..
Edwards signed the strictest abortion bill in the nation..plus hes pro-second amendment.
Let’s see if he stays that way, for his 2nd term.
There’s this....
Louisiana has the highest poverty rate in the nation under Democrat Gov. John Bel Edwards, according to data released by the Census Bureau.

Yay!! Way to go, LA!!!
In Louisiana, all of the Democrats vote in all elections. If you forget or are
Drunk, they will find you and take you to the polling place and keep the polls open until you get there. If they cant find you, someone else will vote for you. Its common courtesy.
plus hes the incumbent..the Kentucky loss was much more troubling...
Yes, it seems that our fellow citizens are mostly unwilling to defend freedom, other than supporting the troops.
LA voters love having the highest poverty rate in the country!! Unreal!!
POTUS even mentioned this to them, at the rally, the other night.
Geez....wake up, LA.
What makes it so bad is the lower turnout of Republican voters when they knew from the early voting that the Democrats were organized and enthusiastic.
You left out the dead....if you are dead, they will vote for you....twice.
Let’s be honest, you are hair’er than Sasquash and your name is really Peggy
Dems have nothing on impeachment. Edwards is a Conservative Dem. No one in their fowled, Biden included, is even moderate. John Delany would have been. Dems can win when they run as moderates. Stay steady. The key is to separate the moderate Dems(and there are many) from the left.
Hard to compete against extra boxes of ballots and dead voters ;-)
