Maybe it had durian in it?
The media must REALLY be hard up for stories if THIS doo-doo gets printed.
Any idea how much are those BART cops making? $200K? Those guys look cop retirement age easy and must be hanging on for some large pay.
If the guy had a plastic straw, they would have shot him.
There are numerous signs. Many people chose to disregard them. I’ve been at that Bart Station. Very nice, well lit, clean and quiet. The polar opposite of what I remember other stations such as Oakland West, or 19th Street Broadway or Powell St. being like.
The officer spoke to the young man once about the violation, and walked off. 10 minutes later, he sees the guy totally disregarded his instructions, preferring to debate the law instead.
If all those screaming ‘Racism!’ don’t like the rules, they should lobby to change the rules.
Shoulda just finished eating while he was talkin’ with the mini-me cop (who likely has issues about being short), then when he was finished just say “What sandwich, officer?”.
The cop was just doing his job.
The cop was wasting his shift arresting a sandwich eater rather than seeking real criminals to arrest. Much more dangerous doing that.
It’s against the law to eat. But peeing on the sidewalk? That’s ok!
Just another reason to never go to San Francisco. Adding to that is the newly-elected liberal district attorney who will further make the city unliveable.
“....So THAT is where the red line is.
Bugger kids, bugger each other, $hit in the street, walk around stoned, steal, open illegal weed shops, sell that azz on the street, shoot cops, piss in public, be an illegal alien who steals a gun and murders a girl on the waterfront,
etc.. But Sandwiches... sandwiches....”
Insane...totally insane. I wouldn’t live in that shite hole of a state if they gave me the whole damn place free of charge.
What about rules regarding public pooping, shooting up, smash and grab from cars, etc? Don’t even think about eating or using a plastic straw....or smoking a cigarette even on the beach {smoking pot is ok though} Ca priorities are all messed up.
No wonder CA is a big crap hole. Instead of cleaning out the riff raff they go after a guy just trying to get to work. Good job, Barney.
Looks staged. That cop’s gun is giving it away + his demeanor.
Fake cop, staged. I suppose one could call it political art.
As the saying goes, he might beat the rap, but he won’t beat the ride. I’ve never understood the logic of swearing at a guy who is carrying gun, depending on his self control to keep one safe.
Good for the transit cops. As one who has used public transit in California I know what kind of scum bags you meet on the trains, trolleys, and on the bus. They do not obey most rules. If there is a trash can two feet away they trow their trash on the ground. There are signs and announcements telling people to keep their feet off of the seats. They walk on sh*t and put their feet on the seats. Homeless bums get on the trolley with no ticket and take up 4 seats for themselves, their dog, their bedding, and their bed bugs. I watched the trolley cops ask a dirt bag for his ticket. He produced an expired ticket. Cop asked for his I.D. so that the cop could write a citation. The guy tells the cop to “f*$k himself.” Cop asks him to put his hands behind his back. He refuses. He resists arrest. Cops roughed him up pretty good until they finally got the handcuffs on him and dragged his rotten ass off of the trolley.
California is a total embarrassment to the United States. I hope the whole country sees this video. If he was crapping on the platform, they wouldnt even care.
It is illegal to EAT the sandwich, it is not illegal to DEFECATE the sandwich.
The cop was just doing his job.”

Besides that, I’m thinkin’ if a person’s gotta bring up the Nuremberg defense as the rationale they probably weren’t doing the right thing.
I just want my Bart ride to be mellow. I’m selfish that way.
