Trump hired a guy who didn’t agree with him on policy with another predictable end result. He’s one in a long line. All he had to do was hire people who aligned with his platform and so much trouble he has had could have been avoided.

On matters of national importance I'm glad Trump is willing to listen to different points of views and not just a room full of "yes men". The issue isn't that Trump welcomes a diversity of opinions, it's that he's trusted establishment hacks. And that includes Generals. They all feel entitled to go beyond offering a different perspective and actively work to undermine him. Mattis, Kelley, McMaster, Tillerson... guys who agreed to work for Trump and then dishonorably worked against him behind his back from the start. They took those jobs with that intention and therefore they are not men of honor.

I'm not sure Bolton planned to work against Trump. I think he figured that (from his perceptive) since he's obviously the smartest guy in the room, Trump will realize he's in over his depth will defer to him. Trump listened politely and then decided to do otherwise and eventually I guess Bolton couldn't accept it and Trump had enough and cut him.

I think between Kelley, Tillerson, McMaster, Mattis, and Bolton (and let's thrown in Sessions on the off chance that he recused himself to allow the deep state to attack) Bolton is the least offensive. He's been spurned and he's lashing out through proxies, that's all.

But no bad policies were made as a result. If Bolton is a rat, we will now all know it (I’m not sure he is, but we’ll see how he conducts himself). Every President has had distractors and people who publicly disagree with him, but those people are not President and never will be.

Not to say your feelings are not valid, but other than saying words that we’d rather not have said, Bolton hasn’t had any lasting impact like Potus has.
