I posted the change from "quid pro quo" to "bribery" on last week's thread on 11/7/19.
Thanks for mentioning it!
They're going to go to "bribery" because "bribery" is literally a part of the Constitutional requirement for impeachment ("Treason, Bribery, or other High Crimes and Misdemeanors")."Quid pro quo" has been understood as a common foreign affairs (or even state affairs) tactic for a long time when aid is involved. Calling it "Bribery" makes it appear to be "Constitutional" and lets them hawk it to the masses as legitimate.
