Universities in America have finally accomplished convincing young adults to abandon the most successful and free form of government in favor of a system that has a historical failure rate of 100%.
It is a sobering reminder of how successful the propaganda of the leftist media and higher education system has been when one realizes that socialism is viewed by nearly half of the millions of young Americans as a sociable way of life a better way of life where they feel people work together for the good of everyone, where the wealth generated by the sweat of the worker is not accumulated into the bank accounts of a small group of the mega-wealthy.
The Democrat candidates for president continually talk about getting the wealthy to pay their fair share to make public college free and to offer free health care for everyone. Socialism, they say, is the sensitive political system, whereas capitalism is ruthless and runs on greed and profits, where the poor worker sleeps on the streets outside the mansions of the factory-owners.
Currently leading the Democrat socialist field are Elizabeth Warren and Bernie Sanders, who are both trying to see who can be more "caring" to young Americans by "out-socializing" the other. Offerings of the lowest-cost or no-cost health care for all, free education for all, and forgiveness of student debt are just some of the key areas that both candidates are struggling to rule.

Many will die and the Left will cheer their bodies as an investment in the Marxist future.
....Wait until they are in the REAL WORLD.
What do you mean?
The author kinda dances around the negatives of socialism. This article would convince no socialist leaning young person to change their mind.
The brutal truth of socialized medicine is rationed health care, death panels, & long, often deadly wait times to get testing & treatment. See Britain & Canada for reference.
The brutal truth of free college is rationed placements (elites go first) & indoctrination rather than education.
In socialism, only the elite live like kings, while ordinary citizens are given the scraps.
Its always amusing to talk to one of these young millennial socialists. When you start asking them questions that have logical answers about how things get paid for, if it goes on long enough they see that its either a ponzi scheme or they see that they haven’t thought it through. The tough thing is actually getting them to reason through their stance. If you develop the relationship well enough and ask them why they would want to go down that road they will say something about its fair. Then you turn it around and ask them, if you spent a whole week cutting down and cutting up a tree that you needed to heat your house for the winter, would it be acceptable of me to come take 40% of it so I can heat mine, too? They invariably answer No. Well, that would be fair, wouldn’t it? Same thing as socialism\communism. I’ve done this several times and they usually can’t come up with logical answers. My conclusion is that they haven’t been taught to think things through before taking a position.
The comedy in all of this is the young, smug idiot progressives all think they’ll be the elite.
It makes it so much easier to hand over a decrepit, expensive country to them -- along with tens of trillions of dollars in government debt -- without so much as a whimper.

“Many will die and the Left will cheer their bodies as an investment in the Marxist future.”
Isn’t that the sad truth of communism. Communists, a very stupid and lazy people, do what they can to destroy societies so that they can present communism as the solution, then they get perfectly capable people to follow them since those people are victims of the system they destroyed.
We have at least 30% of the current generation unemployed/underemployed. They are easy candidates for the communists.
The only way to achieve the socialist utopia is to slaughter millions which doesn’t work in the end either. Those ‘young people’ will be shocked to learn that they will be among the first to experience to wonders of a totally free mass slaughter.
Every generation starts out stupid - Boomers gave us hippies, GenX gave us depressed grungers. In time, they wise up. The Millenials are no different - the stupid ones will mostly vote Deplorable in 30 years. The remainder will remain stupid and vote Dem...just like many hippies never left Bethel, NY.
Truthfully, I think many of these articles bashing Millenials are written by the elder class who are deflecting any culpability on the part of how the pod-eaters turned out. As the old song goes, how can you say I'm crazy when I went to YOUR schools, I went to YOUR Churches, I went to YOUR Instituional Learning Facilities? It's like Frankenstein is on Twitter, complaining about genetic research and organ harvesting.
“”Wait until they are in the REAL WORLD.””
That will be THEIR real world before too long if things don’t change. Can’t see a change happening right now and we’ll have to wait until November 2020 to find out if that’s the path we’re going to be on for sure.
Every college and probably even high school student should be required to read John Galt’s speech in “Atlas Shrugged.” It should be made mandatory. No book report on the speech - no graduation cert.
That is the feel-good lie that is used to sell socialism to people that quite literally do not know any better. To any lib lurkers out there nodding their heads thinking "Yeah, socialism would be better..." First, slap yourself in the face - hard. We need to make sure you're awake, alert, and paying attention.
That is a lie. When you were told that and ultimately made to believe that you were too ignorant to know any better. Now don't get offended, I merely called you ignorant meaning lack of knowledge, not stupid or incapable of learning or any kind of personal insult.
But now it is time for some real knowledge. Socialism does not work. If you actually bother to learn a little history you'd quickly learn (ie. become less ignorant on the topic) that it has never worked - never succeeded in creating a happy, prosperous society. Never. Socialism creates a caste system and a mega powerful elite. Under socialism there are no mega-wealthy people, the currency of socialism is power - control and influence. You're still toiling away, only there's even more misery to go around.
So yeah, put down the twitter feed, instagrams, reality TV. Realize that you, me, and basically everyone reading this will never live in the Malibu hills and have a stable of supercars and supermodels. Ain't gonna happen. That doesn't mean we can't have fun and enjoy ourselves. Quit allowing others to manipulate your emotions and desires. They feed you a line of BS, create and then prey upon jealousy and envy.
Winston Churchill astutely observed that you can always count on the American people do to the right thing, once they have exhausted all of the alternatives.
Socialism is an alternative we have not tried yet. Hence I suspect we are about to.
I am sure they are convinced that modern IT technology will FINALLY allow the economy to be centrally managed.
Ever notice the young keep saying “True Socialism has never been done right, so WE will do it right the next time!”
Yet no one ever says National Socialism(nazism) has “never been done right”. Once was enough.

Simple ‘fix’: Get govt outta our property & trampling our (contract) Rights via elimination of *ALL* welfare (shapes, matters, forms, types+).
Make, find a job or beg/plead. That ditch digging job @ $X/hr. might look better than living on the street.
Welfare, is unconstitutional. It’s taxation without representation. We are taxed to provide representation to others that don’t pay the taxes.
