Admittedly, I don't follow local KY politics much, but if Bevin really was that much of a horribly bad candidate, why in the world would Trump want to put his name on that turd and try to drag it across the finish line?
Either Trump got some seriously bad advice that it would be a great idea to go stump for the looser...or Trump himself made a very bad decision.
I'm hoping it's not the latter! If it's the former, he needs to reevaluate his political relationship with that adviser.
Heck -- Trump did the exact same thing with Roy Moore in Alabama in 2017. If he could support that jackass, he can certainly support Matt Bevin.
The irony here is that Bevin seems like he was a very effective governor, but an ineffective politician.
Trump is a team player...even boosted Romney. Look at the gratitude he got for that.
He was down 17 points just a few weeks ago! Trump shows up for a rally at thr last minute and he comes just a few thousand shy. I am sure they thought they could get him over, but trump visiting a state is not simply about this election its about his election next year just as much. Which is why he keeps doing these rallys all over the place.
Bevin was a weak and bad candidate, and Trump still nearly pulled him over the line.
Sometimes you have a bad candidate, when they lose that isnt fraud
