When Barack Obama talks, everyone listens.
Thats why I paid close attention to his remarks about young people and our activism on social media at a Tuesday Obama Foundation event, and why I gasped at what I heard: This idea of purity and youre never compromised and youre always politically woke and all that stuff. You should get over that quickly. The world is messy. There are ambiguities. People who do really good stuff have flaws. People who you are fighting may love their kids. And share certain things with you.
He doubled down on his finger-wagging, criticizing college students in particular who, in his view, think, The way of me making change is to be as judgmental as possible about other people and thats enough.
Thats not activism, Mr. Obama said. Thats not bringing about change. If all youre doing is casting stones, youre probably not going to get that far. Thats easy to do.

Neither the number of critics, the severity of the criticism, nor the extent of the actual fallout from it seem particularly important.) is misguided. His eagerness to dismiss one part of what happens when young people stand up for what they believe in as casting stones is a reminder of a largely generational divide about whether its impolite to speak out in favor of the most vulnerable among us and the world wed like to live in. While theres some debate about which generation Mr. Obama belongs to, hes solidly in the older camp.

First time he’s made any sense.
That’s what I was thinking.
Kudo’s to speaking truth to those who need to hear truth. But are they open to really thinking about what he just said? I suspect not.
Don’t be fooled. Obama and Ben Rhodes did a post-mortem exam the day after Hillary lost, and they’ve concluded that their social justice revolution is NOT wrong, it just happened too soon. Too many old white conservative types still alive to push back.
The most insightful thing he has ever said. I can’t figure out why he said it.
Maybe it has something to do with, starting about three months ago during a debate, the presidential candidates in his own party started criticizing his administration.
“When Barack Obama talks,everyone listens”.
When Who talks? Is that the guy on first? I dunno. But I did listen when Lou Costello talked cause he made more sense than the other guy.
When Barack Obama talks, everyone listens, what a hoot he’s just a street hustler that’s more like a chimp trainer.
He’s just another educated idiot socialist.
I think its because his own daughters are at the ages of these millennials who are taught that their parents dont know anything, so theyre being rebellious. I wonder if his sermons will work.
Because he knows the left is out of control and most of the voting public are not that radical. The wolf wants to put his sheep clothing back on to win the White House.
It’s really weird that Ibama says things that make sense.
What in the world is cancel culture? Thats about the weirdest phrase Ive ever heard.
The woke author means, everyone with whom he chooses to associate.

I think his 90 million dollar Netflix deal has something to do with it. Despite Hollywood being rabid leftists..perhaps he understands he also needs less radical people to watch his shows to make them a hit.
I am sure he envisions parlaying the Netflix deal into an even bigger deal
