China's Communist Party is waging a hardline campaign against the Uighur ethnic minority, which has seen more than 1 million people detained in prison camps.
Authorities have since 2017 also been sending men to live with Uighur women, many of whose husbands had been sent to prison camps.
Those men often sleep in the same bed as the women, a new Radio Free Asia report says, citing two unnamed Chinese officials.
It is almost impossible to hear from Uighurs in Xinjiang because speaking to journalists or anyone outside the region can get them imprisoned too.
Chinese men assigned to monitor the homes of Uighur women whose husbands are sent to prison camps frequently sleep in the same bed as them, Radio Free Asia (RFA) reported last week.

“Uighur ethnic minority” means muslim. Its how China chooses to deal with their muslim problem. Maybe they look around and see no other country has been successful at it since the 15th or so century and they don’t want to become a statistic. islam is at war with itself and everyone else. its kill or be killed. china are communist evil thugs but not stupid.
What a bizarre story, and while no doubt security and surveillance in China’s west are very intense, “sleeping with Uigher women” is just too strange, and the facts of it are non-existent. I declare Fake News. It is “Yahoo” after all....
Han people look down on the Uighers and Muslims. They would mostly like to avoid them and segregate them. Its at the root of their conflict in Western China. The Han Chinese don’t want to miscegenate with them. That’s a Muslim thing, not theirs.
This is one traditional way to solve a shortage of women. Take over an area and kill the men.
The left will start doing that here as soon as they can.

Uighur MUSLIMS are a 20% minority for the ChiComs. Did you read about 16% being a tipping point?
So what do you do? Let the contagion fester, grow, radicalize and THEN lamely protest about it, like Sweden?
Or do you nip it in the bud, at its birth? Try and assimilate individuals into the majority culture while outlawing the radicals.
I have ZERO problem with culturally aborting Islam, the religion of peace, from these fruited plains.
Why condem the ChiComs for doing what we will need to do, once we grow the balls to do it.

China also has a "one child" problem. For decades to control population explosion they imposed a policy that people could only have one child. Parents decided to kill girls because in Chinese culture they are a burden while sons are cherished. So they have a large surplus of men now.
So now they send soldiers (presumably unmarried) to go live with these Uighur soon-to-be widows. Kill the males, give the females to their loyalists it seems.
