I must admit my response was quite different than yours.
The more I read, the angrier I got. This was a freakin Opus not an Obituary. It praised the man.

FWIW, I don’t think WaPo should even publish an obituary. A news story of cold hard facts —he’s dead, here’s how it happened— would suffice.
The phrase “successful terrorist” pretty much blew my mind. Unreal.
