At the beginning saul was a brave and effective Warrior. David was his son-in-law legally by marriage. saul’s son Jonathan was David’s very best friend.

It could be said that David demonstrated on going love for saul and his family even after saul and his sons were dead.
It could also be said that the prophet Samuel still loved and prayed for saul all of his life.

Without king saul , David would have been unprepared. The key events that established David from the ziklag event on Were driven by Saul and his misadventures.

David sided with the enemies of Israel and God by joining the philistines. The loss of his closest friend and the death of saul grieved David beyond words and actions And the loss of David wives and the loss of his men’s families driven by the insanity of them aligning with the enemies of God are what brought David to repentance and made him fit to be king. Without saul there probably would have been no David as we know him.

No they would not have.
Saul was just as much of God’s plan for Israel at that time as was David later.
I have heard it explained that there never is a David without there being a precursor type of saul.

David is certainly remembered more fondly but he too had serious flaws

Very serious flaws that involved jealousy etc and sending another man to his death so he could take his wife

That was my KJV upbringing

David, Solomon, Saul all had flaws, as did many subsequent kings of Israel and Judah.

They were human. The only perfect man got crucified............

Correct

Iran and their lackeys Hezbollah

Hezbollah seems comfortable in Lebanon and Syria where they are entrenched and have local support from non caliphate muslims and Christians what few are left and likely has no lust for a direct confrontation with Israel

The Middle East is shifting sands politically if ever there was a place

Amazing the foolhardy and willing ignorance that stokes this place sometimes.

The can never ever quote in scripture where Mary is called “sinless”.

Saul was the TALLEST man in Israel.

David the smallest, when he slew Goliath.

And there is the reason, God showed us that size does not matter................

The prevailing opinion is that technically it was not adultery as she was divorced at the time. Supposedly all Jewish men going to war released their wives from the marriage in case their bodies were not found (and possibly had been destroyed) and the wives then could not remarry as there was no proof they were widow

First time I've ever heard that angle. Could you provide some documentation or a link on this?

I won’t be surprised if Gantz is able to put together a coalition. I can’t help but think a large part of Bibi’s inability to do same is both animosity and perhaps weariness of the length of his service. A third election, I’d expect him to be weaker, though were I running one of the holdout parties, I’d take advantage of this opportunity to share power. And who knows, Gantz wan’t willing to join a coalition with Likud, but if he fails at his attempt, he might change his mind. Would probably be smarter than holding out for a third election.

It’s interesting to note that, from the view of the left, Bibi is evil. And yet the only Prime Minister to halt building to pursue “peace”, “peace” in Obama’s view. To no avail. Similarly recall the “evil” Sharon, who personally expelled Jews from their homes in the Sinai, and withdrew from Gaza. For nothing in return, other than the hope of peace. Misguided perhaps, but it doesn’t appear to be Likud, aka evil conservatives, unwilling to take risks.

I don’t know his domestic positions, or case, they’re Israeli’s business. As to security, he’s a combat experienced paratrooper who ended his career with four years as the IDF’s Chief of Staff. Also several years as military attache to the US. In the real world doubt he’s a security pushover. Religious parties may disagree with his positions on things like women serving and his positions of religious issues in the military, but I consider those domestic issues.
