Former national security adviser John Bolton told a former aide to President Trump on Russia to call White House lawyers to warn them about a pressure campaign on Ukraine, House investigators were reportedly told Monday.
Bolton told Fiona Hill, the senior director for Russian and Eurasian affairs, to contact the lawyer for the National Security Council and say that the president's personal lawyer Rudy Giuliani was involved in the efforts to pressure Ukraine into investigating Democrats, the New York Times reported Monday night.
I am not part of whatever drug deal Rudy and Mulvaney are cooking up, Bolton told Hill to tell White House lawyers, according to the testimony reported by the Times.
The former national security adviser had called Giuliani a "hand grenade who's going to blow everybody up" in a previous conversation with Hill, according to the Times.

Well, bless you heart!
Beyond that, I don’t even know what to say.
I’ve never seen such delusion like yours except for Leftists.
Ill gladly discuss facts rather than personal insults. You are invited to do so as well. Its up to you. PS you are welcome to review my FR profile and my over 40,000 posts here on FR with respect to my attitude about libs. Look its much bigger than that. I invite you to a higher level of discourse on this topic, if you really care about the future of this country and how we are giving every damned advantage to the Dems and being led over a cliff. North Korea is what turned me, then the rest fell in place.
I have absolutely NOTHING to share with you.
I am still under my oath to the US Constitution.
all enemies, foreign and domestic.
Please do not—or ever—reply to me.
Jim, please see #36 plus this post.
If you are going to go against Trump, you’re going to be sitting out from FR for the duration.
Fair enough. I mean its not like its not your site or anything.
Ill just post facts about North Korea then, as Ive always done. I have some Freepranslations (free translations from the originals for FR from those languages) for example, from the major, large circulation conservative dailies in both Tokyo (Sankei Shimbun) and Seoul (Chosun Ilbo) and they are straight news reporting, not editorializing.
People can just then draw their own conclusions or weigh the status of things here in Asia. Much appreciated
Yeah... we’re on the same page.
You seem to be adopting the nervous-Nelly RINO attitude.
Trump’s mouth is his best asset. He’s a BULL, and mess with the bull, you get the horns.
No. Im just consistent as I was and had been in my reporting/comment of things and criticism during Obamas major f-up on this issue and also GWB/Condi Rice in the last two pathetic, appeasing years of Bush 43. Nothing has changed. Certainly North Korea has not changed one bit. No evidence is there to the contrary.
The headline referring to ‘what kind of drug deal’ Rudy was involved in is sourced to Fiona Hill, who claims that is what Bolton said. She has no proof that he said it, it is an allegation, intended to sow discord.
Looks like her coconspirator is Eric Ciaramella, and ultimately he goes to Alexandra Chalupa. Apparently Kellogg’s vetting process left a lot to be desired.
Thanks. I would agree.
