I think it was in the winter of 75-76 that I went through a temperature swing that went the otherway. It was about 12 degrees with snow and ice in St. Joseph, Missouri. At ten o’clock at night (as I remember it) a warm front went through and it warmed up to 72 degrees. I was out walking the dog and the entire world of winter was melting and the sound was bizarre.
Over and over again, I see record cold temperatures, and yet they are still pushing the ocean level rising nonsense.
What happens if all our boat docks are twenty feet above sea level?
I remember thirty five or so years ago when El Nino was all the rage. There was, in early NOVEMBER a snowstorm in Kansas and Nebraska.
Our local weather chick, 1000 miles SE from the storms, stood out in an empty dark parking lot and said....”The question that is on everyone’s mind...(looks directly at the camera with terror on her face)IS THIS EL NINO?”
I wanted to throw a boot at the tv screen.
No big deal. Back in 1975, here in North Alabama, I drove to work at 6AM. It was 23 degrees and snowing. That afternoon, it was 74 degrees and we were under a tornado alert.
Yep, I have never seen this before in my life being in the same place. Dad has never seen it in his 84 years in the same place.
Happened to us in the desert southwest too, never happened before.
Were at 6600ft southeast of Denver.
The front rolled through at 40mph, a White rolling fog.
Temps dropped from 76 at 430p to 4degF at 6a today.
Just two inches of snow and its all gone now.
The alpacas love it!
Big fricken deal!
The temp went from 28.3 Celsius to -10.5 Celsius, a drop of only 38.8 Celsius.
GoreBULL warming...
I lived in Denver 1979-1981, this time of year, you could go from short sleeves to heavy jackets overnight.
Imagine: If the Denver Rockies were now playing in the MLB playoff games and couldn’t play home games...
Just checked and found that Denver City was founded in November 1858, so they probably were keeping records in 1872.
I bet the residential HVAC companies are working overtime.

Wow what a great memory.
I bet that sound was bizarre.
