The former U.S. ambassador to Ukraine told congressional investigators on Friday that she was removed from her post earlier this year due to "a concerted campaign against me," according to a transcript of her opening statement.
The New York Times and The Washington Post both published the opening statement, which was given to three congressional committees hearing closed-door testimony from the former ambassador, Marie Yovanovitch.
Yovanovitch said that when she was recalled to Washington from Kiev, Deputy Secretary of State John Sullivan told her that she had "done nothing wrong and that this was not like other situations where he had recalled ambassadors for cause.
She said Sullivan told her that President Trump lost confidence in me and no longer wished me to serve as his ambassador and cited a concerted campaign against me," saying "that the department had been under pressure from the president to remove me since the summer of 2018.
Yovanovitch was removed in May, and her ouster is mentioned in the whistleblower complaint that is at the center of the House impeachment inquiry. The complaint alleges that Trump pressured Ukraine's president to investigate former Vice President Joe Biden over corruption allegations and suggests that the withholding of military aid may have been used as part of the campaign. The complaint also alleges that White House officials were worried about Trump's call and sought to cover it up.
Military aid was eventually delivered to Ukraine, and Trump has denied any wrongdoing on the call.

Was she a Hussein 0bama appointee?
I’m a girl.....he’s mean.
Dan Bongino has sources that say she was badmouthing President Trump in her official role to various diplomatic entities.
That seems like a VERY bad thing. Sounds like she needed removing, if true.
She was undermining the Trump administration. I always thought ambassadors from prior administrations were replaced as a matter of course.
What does Trump have to pressure on people to get of her. Bureaucratic run amok
IIRC, her name was mentioned as a person of interest in the Glenn Beck documentary for things mentioned by other posters here.
I guess I missed the part where Ambassadors serve at the pleasure of the President no matter they are confirmed by the Senate.
“Yovanovitch also focused her opening statement on expressing serious concerns around the Trump administrations support of the State Department”
This is exactly why she and anybody else that disagrees with President Trump’s policies should resign or be fired. She (and the others) don’t get to decide what they support and what they don’t support. If they don’t like any policies he wants to implement, they should either resign, keep their opinions to themselves or be fired.
IMHO, the biggest mistake that President Trump has made, bar none, is that because he is an “outsider” politician, he relied on too many insiders for staffing his administration. Way too many people in his administration are corrupt and/or are spies.
I believe she was the one who denied Visa’s to Ukrainian officials who were trying to get information to the Trump Admin regarding Democrats interfering in the 2016 election against Trump by using the Ukrainians to supply dirt on him.
I believe his sources.
I don’t think that is the case, but I do believe they serve at the pleasure of the President.
Presidents can dismiss ambassadors. No reason needed
She was obstructing justice by blocking law enforcement from investigating corruption. Why isn’t she in jail right now?
Meaningless. Got fired. Big deal. Happens all the time.
Today, we see the State Department attacked and hollowed out from within, Yovanovitch testified. State Department leadership, with Congress, needs to take action now to defend this great institution, and its thousands of loyal and effective employees.”
What! Why? Because these thousands of State/CIA employees do not work for the president? Because you believe you are a separate entity beyond the Executive Branch’s control and can act around the world to advance U.S. interests as you see fit? The CIA needs to be eliminated, every fired and completely defunded ... to the extent that it is possible ...
Ambassadorships are often used as a form of political patronage to reward high-profile or important supporters of the president. The most visible ambassadorships are often distributed either in this way or to the president’s ideological or partisan confreres. Most ambassadorships, however, are assigned to foreign service officers who have spent their career in the State Department. Regardless, all ambassadors must be formally appointed by the president and confirmed by the Senate. While all ambassadors serve at the president’s pleasure and may be dismissed at any time, career diplomats usually serve tours of roughly three years before receiving a new assignment, and political appointees customarily tender their resignations upon the inauguration of a new president.
Yes. Trump should have booted all Obamadork appointees day one.

She should be tried and hanged by both the United States and Ukraine.
