Kanye West defended his support for President Trump during his Sunday Service event on Saturday in Utah, arguing that it’s “mental slavery” to make political decisions based on race.

West stood before thousands of fans after performing his hit song “Jesus Walks” at the free worship service, and began to pray and testify to the crowd about his religious journey, Billboard reports.

Video footage from the event showed the rapper getting political at one point, telling the crowd that it was the Republican Party, led by former President Abraham Lincoln, who freed enslaved Africans.

I actually don’t care much for Kanye. But I do appreciate how he refuses to be pigeon-holed.

“at the free worship service,”

Free? Where to you pay to go to a worship service?

Anyhow, it’s cool that Kanye is speaking out to the exact people who need to know the truth. God works in mysterious ways.

LOL Sounds like the free-to-worship service as in no hindrances.

Well, it WAS Lincoln who freed the slaves AND it was Republicans who ran the safe houses for the underground railroad, and it WAS Republicans who passed the most important Civil Rights legislation in the 60's.

AND on the other side is WAS George Wallace (democrat) to 'stood in the schoolhouse doors' and vowed no black children would attend with white children' ... George Wallace WAS a democrat. AND the KKK was a democrat organization... and Robert Byrd who ran the Senate for Democrats WAS a KKK recruiter... and Bull Conner was a democrat...

The truth sucks for lying democrats... Good for Kanye West ... Takes a brave man to speak the truth in these times...

I don't much like him either, but he's got an interesting political message.

He’s a very smart guy but he has issues with being impulsive. But he definitely refuses to pigeon holed even at the expense of his career. If you’ll notice the media barely mentions him anymore after he came out as a Trump supporter same with his wife Kim Kardashian. Remember, they use to be promoted constantly, in the news every day to the point of overkill until they both came out as Trump supporters. Now our Goebells based media ignores them.

Kind of funny given the Kanye-Taylor Swift debacle a few years back. He totally destroyed her moment of glory at that award ceremony.

And now a few years later, Taylor Swift reveals herself to be a lefty traitor and Kanye is promoting common sense and reason.

How things have changed.

I have a very good friend, much intelligence and political smarts, who happens to be Black. She was unaware that it was the Republicans who passed the Civil Rights laws in the 60’s. She was also unaware that Condolezza Rice’s parents were registered Republicans because the Dems refused to register Blacks in the South in the 60’s. Our Dem-Pravda media has lied for decades about the accomplishments of the Republican Party.

"IF the Blacks EVER wake up out of their Democrat Plantation Stupor, they will REALIZE how the Democrats have RUINED their Lives, their Cities, their Education, their Quality of life!"!

Oh, so right! Imagine a wave of awakening across America where black folks voted out their old corrupt leaders. It's coming...

As Rush would way, “don’t doubt me on this”...what is going on with Kanye is significant and powerful. He has been “enlightened” both spiritually and politically and the combination of the two, along with Kanye’s amazing ability to package words with music, is potent. Not only that, but his message is essentially on point. Kanye’s preaching is distinctly Christian. There’s none of the “God loves everybody” mumbo jumbo. He clearly states that people are called to follow Jesus Christ. His political remarks are straight forward, but still presented in a way that does not turn off hostile audiences. Instead, Kanye’s preaching seems to intrigue and unify people. One of the most remarkable videos I’ve seen in recent months is of Kanye working the Saturday Night Live crowd after they stopped the national broadcast because Kanye launched into his pro-Trump “you can’t control me” speech. The nation didn’t see it, but the speech was still remotely broadcasting to the dressing rooms, and Chris Rock took a video of it on his phone. (Sorry I can’t link to it, but the full video is on Youtube). Kanye’s message is spontaneously (and brilliantly) interspersed with music until an audience full of anti-Trumpers is practically singing “Kumbaya” together by the end, despite the fact that Kanye just told them they were being controlled by liberals and they should start thinking for themselves. I’m sure there’s much to pick apart about Kanye and there’s always the concern that he could slide back into “Kanye crazy” again, but, for now, I’m excited about what I’m seeing and hearing.
