Turkey is set to invade Syria, as the country had been threatening in recent months, with the U.S. saying it will remove all of its forces from the "immediate area," according to the White House.
The news came late Sunday after President Donald Trump spoke to Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan by phone earlier in the day.

what about the Kurds?
Is Russia expected to just sit there sipping vodka and observing the Turkish Invasion?
I thought Putin was deeply invested in protecting Assad, the Syrian president.
I think that turkey just wants to create a buffer south of its border.....
I agree, the twitterverse of Kurds supporters must be unhappy, a lot there on all of this. We will see what happens next as always. I’m hoping for the Kurds.
oh..and I think Assad doesn’t control these areas.....
what about the Kurds?

The Turks will murder them and ethnically cleanse them from the area and replace them with Turkeys Islamist Arab allies. This is a crying shame!!
Russia has a defense treaty with Syria.
Did Turkey get their blessing?
So when are we going to hear the call?
Republicans and Democrats have warned that allowing the Turkish attack would send a troubling message to American allies across the globe. https://apnews.com/1517087f2d3b4f6685fc9802bce370e6?utm_campaign=SocialFlow&utm_source=Twitter&utm_medium=AP

Trump’s ignorance here is terrible.
This is abc, lets wait and see what actually happens.
Somehow the US has become responsible for thousands of ISIS prisoners. They surrendered to militias allied to the US. The US military refused to turn them over to the Kurds. The Turks have agreed to take them over. All the Turks will do is rearm them to fight the Kurds or release them. The only good news is that the US is pulling out of Syria, a place where they should have never been deployed. Trump has to disengage from Syria, Iraq, Afghanistan any way he can.
Indeed! I guess he’s not quite as powerful as his dad was.
I hope we are not betraying the Kurds.
Turkey would like to genocide them.
Can’t we sell the Kurds a handful of tactical nukes? It’s the only way to be sure.
ISIS is the given reason, the Kurds are the real reason. If the Kurds are targeted by the Turks then shame on us. They’ve been doing much of the fighting on our behalf for years.
The askers are savages. God help the Kurds.
