In the brief Facebook video, McConnell makes it clear that the Republican-controlled Senate with him in charge will be a firewall against efforts to remove Trump from office.

“All of you know your Constitution,” McConnell says in the video. “The way that impeachment stops is with a Senate majority with me as majority leader.”

I don't want McConnell to "squash" anything. If the House passes even a single article of impeachment against President Trump, I want the Senate to schedule 8-10 months of hearings with literally hundreds of witnesses called to testify under oath on national television.

Joe Biden should be called to testify on the evening of the Democratic National Convention.

Hunter Biden can be scheduled for the day of the Republican National Convention.

The final Senate vote on the matter should be taken on November 2, 2020 -- the day before the 2020 elections.

First blackboard session I have watched with Glenn in 10 years. Definitely worth watching. If Glenns people can research and find out this much, imagine what DOJ investigators must know...oh wait, the swamp? This is need to know!

Meanwhile Mitt the traitor is desperately trying to get 3 GOP turncoats. If there was a Senate majority to convict it would hurt Trumps re-elect chances bad.

I could see benefits from taking either approach.

My personal preference would be quick dismissal — with RINO Romney on the record for the traitor he is.

Unlike many on these threads, I kind of like Leader Mitch. He kept Garland off the high court, stood strong during the Kavanaugh hearings, and pushed dozens of judicial appointments through to confirmation.

He may not be everything we might desire in a an aggressive majority leader, but he’s the leader we’ve got, and we could have done a lot worse. To lump him — as some have done on these threads — with backstabbers like Romney and Ryan is unfair at this point.

Of course, all this is subject to change, for better or for worse. When the facts change, I change my opinions.

In the case of Sen. McConnell, I hope that Trump’s feistiness is contagious.

I agree; McConnell isn’t perfect, but he is 10,000x better than the clown Ryan in the House, who did nothing with his majority.

Mitch McConnell & Family are just as corrupt as the Biden’s.
The family of his wife, Sec DOT Elaine Chao, have enriched themselves just like the Bidens.

Willard Mittens also has a conflict over the dirty Ukrainian gas company.

Sasse and Collins are also GOPe senators who could easily vote to convict in the Senate impeachment trial.

How many GOPes (rhymes with dopes) would have to vote to convict Trump to have him removed from office?

How many corrupt GOPe senators are there, like McConnell and Romney, plus Trump haters like Sasse, plus any who are under deep state (corrupt FBI/CIA) blackmail control?

I would not be shocked if enough never-Trump GOPes voted with the DemSocRats that Trump would be convicted.

“Trump is 100% safe in the Senate” might be wishful thinking.

It doesn’t have to be a majority, moron. It requires a 2/3 vote.

But in this particular case McConnell is VERY dangerous to Trump, because his family corruption is just as flagrant as Biden’s.

If Biden is taken out for family corruption, McConnell is in direct peril as next in line. McConnell has EVERY reason to quash the Biden family corruption investigation train.

Biden family corruption being fully exposed threatens to ignite a firestorm in the Senate among others who have done similar things. These corrupt senators may vote to convict Trump just to save their own skins.

Enough to get 67 votes to convict Trump? Time will tell.

Please see 14 and 18.

Mitch will say one thing, but he will, in the end, not oppose a Senate impeachment trial. He will bring it over for a full trial and vote on conviction.

Exposing the Biden family corruption is a direct threat to McConnell family corruption being exposed.
