A 27-year-old Florida woman was arrested after her parents found two dozen pipe bombs in her bedroom and called the local sheriff's office, authorities said Friday.
Michelle Louise Kolts was arrested early Friday and booked on 24 counts of making, possessing, throwing, projecting, placing or discharging a destructive device.

There are many types of gun powders. I’d say this pistol power is just a black powder made for pistols. I have an 1865 Confederate navy replica .44 Cal. Cap and ball pistol that uses it. You can buy it off the shelf.
Somebody needs to straighten Teddy out.

Well not surprisingly Teddy has had a lot of trouble with the law. He has been in jail a few times and is now living off SSI.
Btw his Brother has a degree in Engineering from U of F and is well off. His Sister is married to a guy with two PHDs. One in Cosmology and one in physics. They too are very well off.

I could also mention that Ted has stolen a lot of stuff from me. When I was young I had stored some things at my parents until I could get them later.
Among the stuff was around 25 cans of reloading powder, most of them full. When I later picked them up, each can had a tiny amount still in it. Did I know who stole it?

Safer to use than black powder. Black powder is said to go off from just screwing the cap on the pipe is a spark is generated. Her face book page says she is from Washington and has interesting friends. Wonder why she was stock piling stuff. One report said that Amazon alerted police to her because of the books she was buying some time ago but they found no issue with her.
The black powder will go off just from the compression of the threads. One flake is said to be enough. I’ve seen some interesting photos during Hazmat training.

I have around 10 cans of powder for black powder. Only one or two are actually black powder. The rest are golden 7, pyrodex etc.
I have not fired one in twenty years. A couple of years ago I decided to go ahead try my old Thompson Center .50 cal Hawken.
When I got it out the front sight was missing. I then remember dropping it on a hardwood floor. It did not seem to be damaged but the front sight must have hit and soared to some forgotten corner.
The black powder is probably too dangerous to just keep around. I will pour it very loosely on my trash pile and watch it go whoosh
